Overview Part of the Dion Snowshoe Racing series, this race is on a single loop course at Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area north of Brighton Ontario. It's a beautiful course with lots of ups and downs with a loop through incredible pine groves .In the unlikely event of no snow, as long as it can be safely done (if it's not too icy) we will proceed as a trail run (without snowshoes). Registration includes post race chili lunch (vegetarian options available), a Snowy Soles touque (evey year a new color) and entry to win great draw prizes including a pair of Dion Snowshoes! The Happy Hour Series The First HourOne More HourThe Last Hour Description The first event in our Friday Night Happy Hour series takes place at the stunning Goodrich Loomis Conservation area. All of our Happy Hour races are designed to be a welcoming, informal and community building trail runs. Whether you are hardcore or just starting out there is a place here for you! And we are happy to cheer you on! Terrain & Course Map The course is 6-8kms (depending on trail conditions) and participants can expect to encounter hills, rocks, roots, and mossy log bridges. Some spots can be a bit slippery so caution for all is advised. Aid Stations & Facilities There are no aid stations for this event. We will have water available at the start/finish line. We are a cupless event. Please bring your own waterbottles.Goodrich Loomis does have a porta-potty just up from the parking lot. There are no other facilities on course. Kit Pick Up "Day of" registration will be available 1 hour before start for $40.
Timing/Cheating/Awards Timing will be done manually. There are no placement awards. Cheaters cheat themselves and look lame. Refunds/Deferrals/Changes There will be no refunds for any reason. If you are unable to make the event, you may defer to any one of our other Happy Hour events. Series Finishers There are no medals or awards. We will have Dirty Soles swag available for sale. The Fat Ass began in 2003 with 23 participants who didn't quite know what they had gotten themselves into and who fell in love with running the trails of the Batawa. Over the years the Fat Ass has grown to be one of the biggest trail races in Ontario, and despite the size of it, we maintain the inclusive atmosphere so everyone feels welcome; fast, slow, young, old, runners and walkers. NO refunds. We understand that many of our distances sell out quickly and that the life can change a lot between the time you register to race day. However, we can no longer offer refunds, but will extend the date of allowed transfers (October 31st). These transfers must be made between individuals at their own expense.

50KM Rules/Regulations
There is a hard cutoff time of 5pm.
Runners will be required to have a headlamp after 3pm.
Runners not on their last loop by 3:45pm will not be allowed to finish their last loop.
Pacers allowed on the last loop.
Poles are okay too.
Course Description:
The Fat Ass is a mixed bag of tricks. Rocks, roots, wide trails, single tracks, wooden bridges, creek crossings, hills and meadows. Sometimes snow, often mud, sometimes nothing but sun. Its a guaranteed adventure, brace yourself for anything. Please do not use headphones. If you do, please keep your volume down so you can hear folks who need to pass.
Aid Stations/First-Aid:
There are three aid stations. One on the south loop, one on the north loop and one in between. These are all stocked with water, Tailwind, and a plethora of snacks.
WE ARE A CUPLESS EVENT! Bring your own flasks, speed cups or bladders to refill.
First Aid is provided by Neil Graham of Stat Med Canada
Porta potties will be available at the start/finish line area
Parking:
There is ample parking at Batawa Ski Hill. There is also overflow parking at the Batawa Community Centre. Please do your best to not park on the streets and if you are required to do so not block the driveways of residents.
Awards:
In keeping with the spirit of 'fat ass' style races, and to keep registration costs low, there are NO participant medals.
Medals will only be awarded to the first, second and third place male and female for each distance.
Big Bums (kids 1km race) will all receive participant ribbons.

Swim within the Lane Pool at the Campbellford Y.
Run around the Sunny Life Recreation & Wellness Centre within the paved lot.
Six different age groups, each with their own event start time and distance:
3 years & under: Swim 15m | Run 200m
4-5 years: Swim 15m | Run 200m
6-7 years: Swim 50m | Run 500m
8-9 years: Swim 100m | Run 1km
10-11 years: Swim 150m | Run 1.5km
12+ years: Swim 200m | Run 2km
YMCA Membership is not required - any child aged 3 to 15 years can register and participate in this event. The event will happen, rain or shine.

Part of the OUTRace Series - A first of its kind ultra running event in Ontario - This 6, 12, 24 hour ultra-marathon takes place at one of Prince Edward Counties longstanding wineries, Sugarbush Vineyard.
Sign up to run solo for 6, 12 or 24 hours, or register a 24 Hr Relay team and see how many kms you can rack up!
There is also a 12 Hour NIGHT race option! Run your 12 hours starting at 9PM on Saturday.
The Course:
This 3km(ish) loop is flat and non-technical, half through a private wooded trail and half though an open meadow and around the vineyard.
RULES:
Its simple! All races start at 9AM on Saturday (except the 12 hour night race) Participants run the 3+km loop over and over again until your time is up!
You DO NOT NEED TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY. Feel free to take breaks and rest in between loops!
Inform the timing crew when you are officially finished if departing the course before the race time is up.
For example, if you are running the 6 Hour race. If you begin at 9am and complete 2 loops, then rest, then complete another 2 loops then decide to stop but it is not yet 3pm (race finish time) you simply inform the timing crew that you are finished at 4 loops.
Relay teams may divide up the loop however they wish as long as each member runs the loop at least once.
Timing/Awards/Swag:
TIMING will be done manually. Please inform the timing tent when you are officially finished if departing the course before your allotted race time is over
AWARDS: Sustainable and unique prizes will be given to first place male and female who accumulate the most loops in their chosen time frame.
There will also be a group prize for the relay team with the most loops.
SWAG: Will be provided for all participants. Please select your swag size upon checkout. Swag has not been determined yet. We will update as soon as possible. Please note swag cut off is AUGUST 17TH
Overnight Camping/Accommodations:
This is tent-only camping! Our gracious hosts at Sugarbush Vineyards have allowed runners to camp the Friday evening before the race at no extra cost. Please be sure to select the Friday camping option as you register so we know who to expect the evening before. Support friend/family are welcome to camp too! Campers are expected to provide their OWN WATER. There are no water hook ups on site. (Water provided by Dirty Soles will only be for runners while on the course.)
There are also several Air BNB's and hotels in the Quinte and Prince Edward region.
Tents/Drop Bags:
There will be a designated area for runners and teams to set up tents, chairs, and drop bags for their loops. Please be advised that this is private property and a fully operational vineyard.
Any disrespect to the land or unauthorised use of off-limits areas will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the property. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Aid Station/Facilities
There will be an aid station loaded with water, snacks and the usual aid station fare for runners.
Hot food menu including made-to-order grilled cheese, perogies and late night Fireball Sangrias (18 and over only!)
WE ARE A CUPLESS EVENT. Please be sure to bring your own waterbottle /flask /bladder.
There will be porta potties on site, with hand-washing stations.
No showers or change rooms.
We are also pleased to have Trail Yogi joining us with a yoga tent and space to stretch and scheduled group sessions to make sure you leave limber!

10:10 The Gobbler 5K Run and 2.5K Run/ Walk – Timed event.
The course is a fun urban green space setting with uneven ground and some rolling hills.
The 5K course is a double loop of the 2.5K course.

THE COURSE
Participants will start at the YMCA and then enjoy running or walking in the Cobourg Conservation Area.
Participants will get a chance to experience a great urban green space in the heart of our community. The course is a fun urban green space setting with uneven ground and small rolling hills. The majority of the course will be grass.
BIB# PICK-UP
Check in and race day registration begins at 8:30 am.
Bibs will be assigned at the event.
COSTUMES
Add some extra fun by showing off your inner turkey and dressing up in costume or by wearing some festive additions to your race gear. Hey you might want to test drive your Halloween costume at the race.
The Golden Drumstick Award will be given out for best costume/ turkey spirit.
FAMILY DISCOUNT:
Family registration must be done in the same transaction, and you MUST select add another participant. You will be asked for each sub-event in the registration questions. You will then use the CODE at the very end of registering everyone.
