Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie is back for 2026! Le Gran Fondo est de retour en 2026!
The 8^th^ edition of Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Our Gran Fondo has grown to become a bucket list 'must-do' cycling and cultural experience! As the largest cycling event in Atlantic Canada, we hosted 992 cyclists in 2019. This year's edition will be a special occasion as our event returns to the recently renovated Clare Veterans Centre in Saulnierville!
Although a timed event, this is more of a self-paced FUN group event, rather than a race. Choose from three distances in 2026: 128 km Gran, 67 km Medio and 36 km Piccolo. Cyclists are encouraged to register early to participate in draws to win a free registration or prizes.
A scrumptious meal is included, and cyclists can choose between a vegetarian option, BBQ pork or the perennial favourite, fresh lobster in the shell!
$155 + processing fee + HST. Jersey available until July 19, 2026. For more information: https://granfondobaiesaintemarie.ca/en/the-event/pricing
Cancellation Policy: 100% refund until July 19, 2026 at midnight. (12:00 pm Atlantic Standard Time)
Thank you for your patience and unwavering support. See you soon!

This is how it works: starting at 9am, everyone has 1 hour to complete the 6.67k out-and-back course. If you finish before 10am, you get to sit, socialize, and rest until the next loop starts at 10am. This continues every hour until only one runner can complete the loop under 1 hour. If you are over 1 hour for a loop, your race is done.
This format is a super fun way to log big mileage with great people on a beautiful and easy gravel trail.
*Registration/Start/Finish location is at the Jim Charles Point parking lot.
75% refund up to March 1st, 2027 and 50% refund up to May 15th, 2027.
Transfers are not allowed since we have a wait list.
Deferrals are allowed if you can volunteer for an 8 hour shift at the 2027 KBU event, or at the 2027 Capes 100 in August.
Distance to the good stuff from the start/finish area:
