5KM Colour Run or Walk
Get ready for a morning packed with colour, music, and smiles! 🎉
The Colour Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, June 6th, starting in the morning, and features an approximately 5 km walk or run along the upper trails of Birchwood Trail, starting at the Doug Barnes Cabin.
The fun kicks off with a mass group colour toss before you even hit the course. Along the way, you’ll move through multiple colour stations where volunteers will shower you with even more colour. Once everyone crosses the finish line, we’ll wrap things up with one final epic group colour toss—expect a rainbow explosion and a whole lot of happy faces!
A DJ and MC will keep the energy high all morning long, and we’ll finish with prizes for best costume (individual, family, team, and even your four-legged friends 🐾), plus plenty of amazing door prizes. Participants also get to vote for their favourite colour station, so bring the creativity!

4TH ANNUAL RUN FOR PALESTINE – FORT McMURRAY
Get ready, Fort McMurray!
The 4th Annual Run for Palestine is happening on September 13, 2026, and we can't wait to bring our community together once again for a day filled with energy, family fun, and purpose.
Since 2009, Run for Palestine events across Canada have raised more than $700,000 in support of humanitarian relief efforts in Palestine. What started as a small movement has grown into a nationwide tradition of community, compassion, and action.
This year marks Fort McMurray's fourth annual event, and whether you're running, walking, cheering from the sidelines, or bringing the whole family out for the day, there's a place for everyone.

Surrounded by beautiful forest trails and natural scenery, Birchwood Trails provides the perfect setting for a memorable community event. The event will be centered near Doug Barnes Cabin, offering a welcoming space for participants of all ages.
