    Blues Cruise 50K Trail Ultramarathon Join us for the 21st anniversary of the Blues Cruise 50K Trail Ultramarathon.The course circles the beautiful Blue Marsh Lake, near Reading PA. The 31-mile loop includes woods, fields, plenty of rolling hills, single track and less than .5 miles of public roadway. The “Ski Slope” is the only major climb (240 feet in vertical climb). We also have one optional water crossing where you can choose to splash through or cross on a bridge.The course includes 7 themed aid stations that are well stocked and serviced by local ultra runners.Time limit: A 9-hour time limit is strictly enforced.Start: 8:00 AMFinish: 5:00 PMCutoffs: Aid stations 5, 6, and 7 will have strict cut off times (review the Participant Guide, under “Aid Station”) to facilitate this deadline, and a sweep vehicle will be available for runners who are cut (expect some wait time).We offer camping for a small fee.Blues Cruise 50K RelayA captain should be designated for each team of 2-4 runners.

    The captain must register the team and add a fun team name to Ultra Signup prior to others signing up. Each person must individually register as a relay contestant. The per-person relay fee is lower than the 50K price. Each 2-4-person team will complete 1 or more of the 4 legs of the 50 K course. (1 runner per leg)Leg 1: “The Lead Out” start to Aid Station 1, ~4.7 milesLeg 2: “The Voyager” Aid Station 1 to Aid Station 4, ~13.3 milesLeg 3: “The Mountaineer” Aid Station 4-6, ~7.1 miles includes the famous Ski SlopeLeg 4: “The Finisher”, ~6.75 miles to the finish, where the entire team can cross the line together and receive Blues Cruise Relay finisher awards.Prizes will be awarded for the fastest teams!     Start - Finish approx address: 1420 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533There are numerous entries to the park along Palisades Drive, we start the race at the Day Use Area (look for Day use park sign) Entry Fee $39 for the 25KM $49 for the 50KM Refunds: Till 11/15:Mail us a stamped self-addressed envelope to receive a refund minus $5 to:UES, c/o NakedNK, 2137 Old Lancaster Pike, Reinholds, PA 17569 after 11/15:all entries are final (RD allows bib transfers up to 1 week prior, must email RD to approve and finalize bib transfer.No refunds if event gets cancelled or postponed due to weather, acts of god or restrictions put in place by the government. Runners can either run on the new date or get rolled over into the following year. This race will take place even if there is snow on the trails (unless there are unusual circumstances and the snow is too deep to run) Timing Old fashion tear-off bib timing. Keep your bib visible on font at all times. You have to finish the distance you signed up for , you can not drop to a shorter distance during the race. Aid Stations Aid Station are located at:3,6,10,13,15.5,18.5,21.5,25.5,28.5 Trail runners usually carry a bottle to keep hydrated between aidstations. Gatorade and water will be available at all the aidstation. There will be the usual snacks and carbs to keep you fueled at the race (bring your own gels, if you rely on them). Course Along the trails of Blue Marsh Lake. This course will be on the south side of the lake (opposite of the Naked Bavarian and Naked Prussian, totally different course).Basic course is a lollipop. 5.5 Miles out, 4.5 Mile loop and 5.5 Miles back. 50K runners do it twice ( access to your drop bag at mile

    15.5) Mix of single track trail 80% and gravel gravel roads 20%.The trails are not considered difficult by trail running standards, are very run able but there will be the occasional rock or root. However this time a year the trails might either be snow covered, icy or muddy which will increase difficulty quite a bit.Elevation:25 KM approx 1500ft50 K approx. 3000ft Post Race Party We will hand out the awards as runners cross the finish line.
