Let's get walking or running or riding starting 6/6/26-6/14/26 to raise awareness and funds for 22q. This virtual event will kick-off on Saturday, June 6 in your community, on your treadmill, or wherever you exercise. Whether you sign up to run, walk, or bike, let's get moving and feel united throughout the week. Be sure to share your photos on social media and tag us @22qfamily and use the #run22for22q. We will also be offering an in-person event again in Erie, CO with the hopes of eventually expanding to more locations in the future.

22q is the SECOND MOST COMMON genetic disorder after Down Syndrome, yet it's less known and harder to diagnose. 22q has a rate of occurrence in 1 in 2,000 births and is found in 1 of 68 children born with a heart defect!

  • 60-75% of all individuals with 22q have a heart defect,

  • 75% have differences in their palate that affect their speech and often create nasal regurgitation,

  • 35% have significant feeding and swallowing problems,

  • 77% have immunodeficiency

  • 40-60% have anxiety

  • 50%+ have a cognitive impairment

The Burro Buster 5k is a fun, family friendly, 5k in one of America's highest incorporated towns. Join us in Fairplay on the 4th of July on our run through town! The course lies inside of the town limits and starts and finishes in front of the historic Hand Hotel & Emporium. Your terrain will include asphalt, dirt, rocks, stairs, and some hills. You will also enjoy great views, a river, historic buildings, lack of oxygen (9,953' above sea level!) and fun! There will be NO water station on course. Water will be available at the beginning and end of the race.

This event benefits the Town of Fairplay Scholarship Fund.

The Human Potential Running Series Presents:

The Silverheels Trail Runs @ COMO ROUNDHOUSE

The Silverheels Trail Runs take place at an average elevation of over 10,000’, in one of the most visually stunning areas of Colorado. The course features a mixture of single track trails and fire roads, with a few stretches of dirt road; it takes runners through high alpine and sub-alpine meadows loaded with wild flowers, with expansive views of the South Park Valley and beneath the towering "Decalibron" 14er's. You'll run through ghost towns, past abandoned mines, awe at the wildflowers in full bloom, and dance under the watchful eye of Silverheels Mountain herself and the ever stunning Milky Way Galaxy. Our 10-Mile and 18-Mile options are run on the gorgeous Gold Dust Trail traveling through massive aspen groves, over many high mountain creeks, through old mining encampments, and along a miners ditch hand dug by those in the late 1800s.
