The Toledo Humane Society’s 41st Annual Bark in the Park Sponsored by Fetch Pet Insurance is back in 2026 is back for another Paw-some year! Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at Blueberry Fields Dog Park (Sylvania Dog Park) in partnership with Mercy Health for a celebration packed with food, games, adoptable animals, and fun activities for pups, kids, and the whole family.

Location: Fossil Park, Sylvania, Ohio

5675 Centennial Road, just south of Sylvania-Metamora Road

There are 4 age based distances.

• Race A – ages 5 & under ½ kilometer (0.3 miles)

• Race B – ages 6 – 8 1 kilometer (0.6 miles)

• Race C – ages 9 & 10 2 kilometers (1.2 miles)

• Race D - ages 11 & 12 3 kilometers (1.86 miles)

Race A will start at 9:30 AM. Races B, C and D will follow.

Awards to the top 3 boys and girls in each race!

ALL RUNNERS MUST PRE-REGISTER! Online registration only!

Cost: $11 $5 discount for TRRC Members. Discounts are taken during payment.

Please do not race down an age level, unless you have race director's approval. Only eligible for 1 age group award.

From the first-time 5K runner to the seasoned BQ marathoner, Dave's Fall Training Series will have you ready to put your best foot forward at the Garmin Marathon Series from 5K to the marathon, as well as the Columbus & Detroit Marathons. With a complete training plan crafted by Dave's Training Director, Bob Masters, and implemented by over 20+ enthusiastic coaches, you're in very capable hands.

Training the Dave's Way means joining a supportive and fun community of runners and walkers who are all about staying healthy, accountable, and motivated!

BEGINNER 5K & HALF-MARATHON PLANS AS WELL AS RUN-WALK OPTION

Looking to run your first 5K? With Dave's Beginner 5K program, you have a detailed plan that mixes walking and running together until you are out there running 3.1 miles on your own.

If you are someone who prefers to run-walk, we have a half-marathon plan with coaches who train using a run-walk training method for the half-marathon distance. This "open pace" training plan is also used for anyone looking to complete their first marathon, and goal time is not a factor.

REMOTE TRAINING OPTION (online)

The Training Tilt app has been such a game-changer for our remote trainers that we’re now making it an option for everyone in the program! One of its standout features is the interactive training calendar, which lets you sync your Strava account or Garmin device to keep your workouts organized and on track.

The Dave's REMOTE TRAINERS will receive weekly coaching advice and encouragement from Dave's Training Team on the Training Tilt platform.

Experience the beauty of Wildwood at the Happy Trails 5K. Brought to you exclusively by Dave's Running Shop in proud partnership with Metroparks Toledo, this event offers a scenic run or walk through Wildwood Metropark with a direct impact. All funds raised will go directly to support Metroparks Toledo, ensuring the continued commitment to clean, safe and natural parks.

-The 5K course will feature both paved and unpaved trails.

-The One Mile walk is on paved trails making it family and stroller friendly.

The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk was a great addition to Springfield Township's annual and wildly popular Freedom Celebration! The Firecracker 5K Run/Walk offers participants the opportunity to enjoy the terrain of Community Homecoming Park (including the outstanding fitness trail), compete for top prizes, and help support organizations serving veterans, area youth, Springfield High School students, and those helping to preserve the history of the greater Springfield Township area!
