Fighting Parkinson's Step-by-Step Walk

Fight Parkinson’s disease by joining us for our annual walk in support of the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego!

By supporting Step-by-Step, you empower PASD to provide essential resources to thousands of individuals impacted by Parkinson’s disease in San Diego County. Your assistance is vital in maintaining our outreach and capacity to serve the community.

Every contribution stays within the County, providing aid to local caregivers and families of those in need. Lace up your walking shoes to be a valuable resource and unwavering ally for people with Parkinson’s disease!

Participant can choose to walk or run, with options for the 5K or a shorter 2.5K.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Thru February 1, 2026: $40

February 2 - April 1, 2026: $50

After April 1, 2026: $60

Youth (12 - 17): $10

Children under 12 are FREE, but a donation is suggested. Dogs are FREE too!

SHIRT AND BIB PICK-UP DETAILS:

Bib and shirt pick-up can be done in advance of the walk or on event day. For teams, team captains are highly encouraged to pick-up for their entire team. We will have the team bibs/shirts together in a box! Here are the pick-up times/locations:

Calling all runners! Attention all SeaWorld enthusiasts! Where land meets the sea with our annual Fins & Flippers 5K on April 19th.

Calling all runners and SeaWorld fans! Land meets sea once again at the 2nd Annual Fins & Flippers 5K, with a shark-inspired twist as we celebrate the upcoming debut of the all-new Shark Encounter, opening this spring.

Whether you’re running or strolling along the course, this exciting 3.1-mile route will guide you through the scenic grounds of SeaWorld San Diego, passing by your favorite animals and exhibits. Throughout the course will be beautiful views of Mission Bay, ocean-inspired surprises, photo ops with aquatic themes, and lively, sea-inspired characters!

In addition to the 5K Run, we're excited to offer the Kids Fun Run – the perfect opportunity for little ones to join in on the oceanic adventure. Every participant will receive an official race shirt, a race bib with a timing chip, a unique finisher medal, and a chance to qualify for special sea-worthy awards.

Costumes are encouraged —so get creative and dress up in your best fins, flippers, or SeaWorld-inspired oceanic attire for a day filled with fun, waves of excitement, and memories to last a lifetime. (Please note: masks are not permitted for this event.)

You’ll love the shirt we send you. Set a goal, bring a friend, and join this super fun 5K/10K/13.1 Half-Marathon!

Overview:

Run will sell-out QUICK! We will close off waves the moment they fill up. If waves are sold out, you can sign-up for the virtual run option or wait list.

This is a smaller, private group run with a cap per wave.

All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome - Run or Walk!

There's no equipment or setup, this is a pure run with our coordinators to support you in a warm, stress-free setting!

When you sign-up, we give you the support you need to help you achieve your goals and fitness. We also invite you to be part of our local run clubs that supports your fitness journey.

Timing:

• Timing is Optional: You may track your time on an app (Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run, etc) and submit your times with our easy form to be posted online. Or you can ask our coordinators to help keep track of your time.

• No timing chips (This is a stress free run to support you in achieving your goals)!

When will I get my Swag?

You will get your shirt at your mailing address the week of your race.

Race Updates:

We will email you a final update the Wednesday before the race with final details and course maps.

Do you accept last minute registrations? (For those signing up 2 weeks before the race)

Yes, but please note that it takes time for us to ship your shirt. Your shirt will likely arrive after the run. You can wear any shirt you find appropriate to run the race!
