The Thunder Mountain Challenge is a 5k and ultra event held on Saturday, October 3, 2026. It is located at 8 Bridal Cave Rd in Camdenton, Missouri.
The inaugural Great American 5K debuts on Saturday, July 4, in Linn Creek, Missouri, and it’s built to be the patriotic centerpiece of the holiday. Timed perfectly with America’s 250th birthday, this race delivers a crisp, fast route and the kind of dialed-in organization that makes for a smooth, high-energy start to the day. It’s a brand-new tradition designed to feel big right out of the gate—red, white, and ready to run.
With the semiquincentennial as our backdrop, the event leans fully into the celebration. Expect bold, commemorative shirts, standout finisher awards, and race-day touches that make the entire experience feel worthy of a once-every-250-years milestone. Even better, proceeds benefit Folds of Honor, supporting scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled service members. Every mile carries meaning.
The Linn Creek Industrial Park will set the stage with a festive, atmosphere - smooth logistics, lively support, and a post-race vibe that feels like the city’s own July 4 kickoff. Whether you’re a seasoned racer, a casual jogger, a walker, or someone who simply wants to start the holiday with purpose, the Great American 5K sets the tone. For a country turning 250, this is how you start the celebration: feet on the ground, flag in the air, and a finish line that means something.
This is our 9th Annual Christmas themed fun family race!!!

$35 from July 1 through race day!
This run will benefit out Summer Camp Program to provide transportation and field trips as well as scholarships.
There will be an award for 1st place in all age categories.

Oktoberfest at Lake of the Ozarks is back with a .5k and a 5k.
Yes, you read that right. In addition to a traditional 5k, we have a one-half K (roughly .31 miles for you non-runners).
Starting and finishing at the Sanctuary Brewery in Osage Beach, this will be the 5k of the year!
5K
5k registration is $40 and includes a shirt, a piece of swag, and a coupon for a free beer at The Sanctuary!
There will be an aid station at the turnaround.

The Lake of the Ozarks Turkey Trot 5K is a family tradition held on Thanksgiving morning at Camdenton High School. 2026 will be the 17th year for this event. It's attended by many families who want to kick their holiday off with some exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie.
This year we have a one mile fun run for kids and adults who don't want to do the full 5k course.
The fun run begins at 7:45, the 5k at 8:30. Walk-up registration will open at 7:00am.
Hosted by FundRuns, all profits go to Share the Harvest food pantry and the Camdenton Cross Country team.
PACKET PICKUP
We will have a Wednesday evening packet pickup. Location TBD.
Race morning packet pickup will start at 7:00am at the high school, 662 Laker Pride Rd, Camdenton.
On-site registration will also be available at those times for people that still want to join us.
AWARDS
There will be no awards for the fun run. Participants completing the event will receive a finishers item.
Overall Male & Female winners receive a plaque and a cash prize.
Men's and Women's Divisions awards are given in the following age groups:15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70 and up.
For boys and girls in the following age groups medals are given: 10 & under, 11-14.
Finish times will be based on gun time, not chip time.
