Ohmrathon

Founded in January 2023 by Michael, the Running Gooses are a close-knit running crew based in Göttingen, Germany, dedicated to fostering friendship and mutual support through running. With about 10 members from diverse backgrounds and abilities, they emphasize inclusivity and shared energy over competition, welcoming everyone from first-time marathoners to experienced trail runners. Their weekly runs every Wednesday evening at the Jahnstadion combine interval training with camaraderie, strengthening both fitness and community bonds. The crew actively participates in Göttingen’s vibrant running scene, joining events like the Kiessee Parkrun and local races such as the Altstadtlauf. They explore scenic routes that weave through the city’s historic streets and natural trails along the Leine River, deepening their connection to Göttingen’s unique blend of urban charm and nature. The Running Gooses continue to grow as a supportive community, embodying the spirit of running as a shared journey in this picturesque city.
