Community Run BYU I THE LAST LAP - Hallwil #2026

In May 2024, a small group of friends in Aarau decided that running didn't have to be about times or splits. They founded runclub5000 with one simple idea: show up, move together, and let friendship be the point. Starting from Markthalle Aarau, the crew charts routes through the town's parks and along the river, building something intentionally accessible. Every level belongs here. Runners gather weekly not to chase PRs but to chase connection, and conversation flows as naturally as footsteps. In a town known for its close-knit spirit, runclub5000 has become proof that consistency and community lift harder than competition ever could. The crew's inviting approach has woven running into Aarau's fabric, one shared step at a time.

Sara saw a gap in the Mutschellen region and filled it. RunMutsch launched in Widen in early 2026 as the area's first dedicated run club, built on a simple premise: group running should be accessible to everyone. With around 40 runners now gathering every Monday at 19:00 from Bistro Burkertsmatt, the crew has cultivated a welcoming atmosphere focused on moderate pacing and community over speed. There's no pressure, no barriers, just people moving together through the Mutschellen hills, rain or shine. It's become the rhythm many in the region didn't know they needed.

runBADEN started when Jamie returned from Hong Kong and Simon came back from Sweden, both craving the community that run clubs created so easily. They met for coffee in Baden and decided their city needed the same. What began with 46 people on the first night has grown to roughly 400 members, all drawn by a simple promise: running is a reason to meet people, and the night after is a reason to stay. Every Wednesday at 19:00, the crew gathers at Pame for three pace groups, a medium distance, and snacks and drinks at the same spot where everyone started. runBADEN stays free and open to everyone, with genuine welcome and zero barriers.
