    Racing Age – for all racers including Juniors – Racing Age is determined by your age on December 31st of the current year. To explain – for classes like U19 (Under 19) the racer CANNOT turn 19 in the

    current race year. Same for U15 (Under 15), the racer CANNOT turn 15 in the current year. Parents – please take note of this when registering your juniors for races.


    REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

    Sign up early and save! The registration price will increase one week prior to the race. With the exception of Juniors and Cat 4 racers, all Adult and Pro classes will increase $5 Saturday, June 6 at midnight.

    Online Registration closes Thursday, June 11th, midnight.

    Day of Registration: $10 Additional - Cash only

    On-site registration will open at 7:00am and close 30 minutes prior to each event

    Kids race: FREE

    ABOUT THE HANGSTERFER'S SUMMER SIZZLER MTB RACE:

    We're gearing up for the 2026 edition of the Summer Sizzler. Trail gnomes are working hard on making the course faster and more exciting. We're also planning to to once again donate 100% of proceeds to our favorite cause NJ NICA.

    THE CAUSE: #MoreKidsOnBikes

    NICA and their mission of #MoreKidsOnBikes is near and dear to our hearts. That is why since 2016, we have donated 100% of race proceeds to New Jersey NICA. Thanks to the financial support of our title sponsor Hangsterfer's Laboratories and our amazing riding community we have raised more than $38,000 for New Jersey’s NICA League and local NICA teams.

    COURSE:

    For 2026, we'll be running the course in the clockwise direction. Expect the course to deliver the familiar 5-mile dose of twisty South Jersey singletrack filled with: logs, roots, and punchy climbs with various improvements throughout.

    KIDS RACE:

    A kid's race will take place at 11:00 am in the prologue area of the field. No pre-registration will be available. Please check-in at the registration tent by 10:30 am.

    WEATHER:

    We will try as hard as possible to the run the race if trails are in reasonable condition and we will also try to keep you updated during the week preceding the race.

    PRE-RIDE DATES & TIMES:

    Due to the Summer Sizzler taking place the weekend immediately following The Rowan Rambler (NJ NICA's final race of the season) at the same venue, official pre-rides will be limited this year.

    Official Pre-rides:

    • Saturday, 6/6 - 9-12pm

    • Wednesday, 6/10 - 6pm

    • Friday, 6/12 - TBD (Stay tuned)

    Course closed for NICA: Saturday 6/6 at 12pm through Sunday, 6/7 at 5pm

    Course will be marked by Sunday, 6/7 at 5pm and available anytime for pre-riding beginning at that time until race day.

    PRIZES:

    We will be following the MASS series pay schedule for the pros and providing some pretty awesome medals for Cat 1-4 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

    RULES:

    • No alcohol is permitted on campus.

    • MASS Rules apply to all races.

    • All required waivers must be signed prior to racing at Day of Registration & Check-in.

    • Helmets must be worn at all times while riding, including warmups.

    • NO electronics (ear buds) permitted during pre-ride or races. GPS ok.

    • NO COURSE PRE-RIDING DURING RACES.

    Registration is digital. There are no paper applications nor is cash accepted. Everyone must sign up online. Online registration closes at the start of the

    race. Please have the following items easily accesible to maintain the efficiency and speed of Packet Pickup:

    • Required: Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

    The swim is in deep fresh water that is well maintained, no muck! The run and bike are on nice flat shaded roads. The course is marshaled by volunteers but is open to traffic.     USAT INFORMATION

    All multisport participants must have an active USAT Membership that has not expired before the conclusion of each registered event and must follow all USAT rules and guidelines. If you are not already a member, when registering for each individual event you will be prompted to become a member and pay the respective membership fee.

    Common Rules and Information

    • ALL athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!

    • Youth (17 and under) athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID

    • Annual members are required to bring their membership card every time they compete in a USAT Sanctioned event.

    • Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

    • No drafting: a maximum of 15 seconds will be allowed to complete a pass through the draft zone of another athlete

    • Headphones are prohibited

    • No riding in transition at any time

    • Helmets/Chin straps must be worn securely fastened at all times while in possession of your bike. This means before, during, and after the event. This also means from the time you remove your bike from the rack at the start of the bike leg, until after you have placed your bike on the rack at the finish of the bike leg.

    • Verbal or physical abuse of others is not acceptable or tolerated. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct at all times while at the event and during competition, including the use of abusive language; violent acts; intentional misconduct; or any intimidating behavior directed toward, including but not limited to participants, officials, event staff, volunteers and spectators.

    The Autumn Lake Triathlon begins with a 0.4 mile swim in a clean, spring-fed lake in the heart of Williamstown, NJ.
