2 Miles 4.5 Miles Run Walk

Featuring a 4.5-mile run and a 2-mile walk/run. The courses are flat and take place in town, with the 4.5-mile route venturing out/back on a country road. There will be a water stop on the 4.5-mile route that will be passed twice.

We encourage participants to dress in red, white and blue!

Delicious post-race food and beverages will be served. This year's menu: spaghetti, marina sauce, meat sauce, rolls, salad and - of course - the famous GOOD COOKIES!

CHECK-IN and SAME DAY REGISTRATION is 6:00am-7:15am. PLEASE HAVE EXACT CASH

Shirts can be picked up before the race from 6:00am-7:15am.

To be guaranteed a shirt, you must be registered prior to June 15th. There will be a LIMITED supply of extra shirts day of race.

Any unclaimed shirts by July 10th will be forfeited

    The Decatur Running Club is sponsoring a timed 5k beginning at 8 a.m. on June 6th and a Kid's Ramble at 7:30 a.m. ages 10 and under.

    The start/finish will take place at the east parking lot on the trail. The paved course is an out and back. Water station will be available along the course.

    Proceeds are used to fund club events as well as supporting youth running programs in the Decatur area.

    This race will be hand timed (NO BIB) by the Decatur Running Club.

    All participants receive a finisher medal and hand painted rock. Age group awards for the 5K are 10 and under, then 5 year increments up to 75 and over. Race T-shirts are available for additional purchase. 50/50 fabric.

    All participants in the Kid's Ramble will receive a finisher's award.

    Post race party and award presentation follow race completion.

    Race day registration will be available. Sorry, no refunds.

    Packet pick up: Wednesday 9am-5pm Decatur Earthmover Credit Union Dividend Location (2600 Dividend Dr.) OR Thursday 6:00-7:30pm at the Forsyth Park.

    Race Features for all runners: T-shirt & Glow items (register by May 31st to guarantee)

    Post-Race Food and Drink

    Course: The course will run through Forsyth Park and stay primarily on the bike path. The course will be lit and visibly marked, and there will be volunteers to help assist in direction.

    Dress to Impress: Put on your best glow gear for a chance to win Brightest Glow and $25 gift card. First place Man/Woman will get a medal.

    This trail race consists of fast rolling terrain located in the Sand Creek Trails of the Macon County Conservation District.

    Details:

    • Race day event: 4.4 and 7.6 mile race options available

    • Time: 10 AM race start with post-race celebration

    • $35/40 entry fee includes unique long sleeve technical shirt, FINISHER MEDAL, and post race fun and snacks.

    • Must register by Sept.1st to be guaranteed a shirt.

    • All in person race participants will be entered to win prize packages from local businesses.

    • Prizes for overall male and female, and age groups.

    • Race profits will benefit Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Special Operations Warrior Foundation was formed to aid the children of our nation’s fallen soldiers.

    Run route: Enjoy the beautiful fast rolling terrain through this local Conservation District located on the south end of town.

    Enter the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or 1/2 mile Turkey Tot Trot in Fairview Park! Tot Trot includes a T-shirt and participation prizes (ages 12 and Under). 5K, 10K, and Half races include computerized results and 3-deep awards per age group.
