  Founded in January 2021 by lifelong friends Andrea and Alessandro, the Velvet Runners have blossomed into a close-knit running crew in Senigallia, Italy, known as the “Velvet Beach City.” Starting from a small group united by marathon training, they built a welcoming community that embraces runners of all levels, focusing on camaraderie and shared joy rather than competition. With around ten members, their weekly runs along Senigallia’s scenic Adriatic promenade and rolling hills offer both invigorating workouts and opportunities to connect amidst stunning coastal views. The crew’s flexible schedule and open-door policy invite anyone eager to join, fostering friendships that extend beyond running. By nurturing this inclusive spirit and celebrating the city’s natural beauty, Velvet Runners play a vital role in shaping Senigallia’s emerging running culture, turning each stride into a shared adventure that strengthens community ties and inspires an active lifestyle.
