Tryptophan Half/10K/5K

Join us for the 2nd Annual Run for a Pawpose 5K, Kids Fun Run (ages 10 & Under), and Doggie Run, which will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 18th. The Run for a Pawpose 5K benefits the Pups With Purpose program through the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

This special event helps support a program that gives shelter dogs a second chance, while providing inmates with valuable life, social, and vocational skills.

This event is open to walkers and runners of all ages, as well as dogs. All dogs in attendance must register in advance and proof of the dog's rabies vaccination must be submitted online. Registered dogs will receive a custom race doggie bandana. Human 5K and Fun Run race participants will receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. No dogs will be permitted to participate in the Kids Fun Run.

Registration will be available online (if not sold out) through race day.

Participants will receive t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by April 10, 2026) and finisher medal.

Friday, April 17th from 12 PM to 5 PM

Race Day (Saturday) under the Big Peach tent beginning at 5:30pm

Packets for Virtual Participants not picked up in-store will be mailed after April 24th.

Please note that we will not be exchanging t-shirt sizes at packet pickup. If we have extras after the race, you may go to the packet pickup tent following the race to see if your size is available for exchange.

Packets for in-person participants not picked up during packet pickup will be donated.

The 2026 Boulder Dash 5K Race is a unique race in Forsyth County, Georgia.

The course winds through an active quarry, offering participants views of the working quarry face, ancient rock deposits, and massive equipment used to process, move and manage the rock. Since this is an active quarry, there will be no dogs allowed in the race this year. At the finish line, the Martin Marietta Spring Fling awaits, with Exhibitor/Team Tents and lots of fun for racers and spectators alike.

Sponsor generosity combines with race registration fees to make this event a great fundraiser in the Forsyth community.

We are on a mission to stop ALS. The Fiesta 5k Challenge is held in memory of Jon Blais, who died from ALS in 2005, and in honor of all who are living with ALS and those who have lost their lives because of it.

This is an In-Person race with Virtual options.

What is Good Samaritan? Good Samaritan is a volunteer organization based in Forsyth County. Our mission is to help families and individuals in our local community who need immediate assistance to get through dire circumstances. We provide short-term financial assistance and provide referrals for longer-term counseling and other services. All funds we raise go directly to help those in need. We do not maintain offices or other administrative overhead, such as a Website or Social Media. This ensures that every dollar we raise goes directly to Forsyth County residents in need. Packets for participants registered for a virtual event will be mailed after June 16th if not picked up during packet pickup.

Any race packets for in-person participants that are not picked up during packet pick up or on race day will be donated unless you contact us prior to race day.
