The Steve Cullen Healthy Heart Run/Walk is proud to fund life-saving heart research at the Medical College of Wisconsin in memory of former Milwaukee Alderman Steve Cullen who died at age 40 of a heart attack. In our 29 years, we’ve donated more than $700,000 to the cause, putting every dollar raised in the hands of researchers who are battling the #1 killer in the United States, heart disease.

Join us for the 30th Annual Steve Cullen Healthy Heart Club Run/Walk on February 14, 2026 at 10:00am. Hoyt Park, 1800 N Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa, WI 53226 with plenty of parking!

The 8k competitive run and 2 mile fun run/walk in Wauwatosa, WI draws about 600 participants and volunteers every year, with the famous Cullen Family and Friends chili & beer awaiting all at the finish line!

Bib and Shirt Pick Up Details:

Thursday 2/12 3:00pm - 7:00pm and Friday 2/13 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Performance Running in Brookfield

IN PERSON 8k or 2 mile & VIRTUAL registrants: Pick up your packet at Performance Running in Brookfield at dates/times listed above. NEW this year: take a moment at packet pickup to fill out a card honoring or remembering in whose honor you are running. All cards to be posted at the Race/Walk on race day!

If you are from out of town and/or absolutely cannot make the pickup at Performance Running, you can have someone pick up on your behalf or get your bib on race day morning, starting at 8:30am.

INDOOR at Wisconsin Athletic Club registrants: Pick up your packet at WAC Wauwatosa, starting Thurs 2/12 at 3p

Remember! Must register by January 31 shirt deadline to be guaranteed a shirt.

Please review the Badgerland Striders Race Policies and Guidelines.

Join the race either live or virtually in 2026 and help your own heart and others! You can also contribute directly to the cause via our Facebook page or even set up your own fundraising campaign. Instead of another pair of socks or a dust-gathering trinket, consider asking friends and family to honor your birthday or anniversary with a meaningful gift to fight heart disease! It’s so easy.

    [buenatierramke.com] [runningcrews.com] - Facebook - Instagram

Founded in Milwaukee in late 2023, Buena Tierra Run Club has rapidly grown from a small group of seven to a vibrant community. Inspired by Patrick’s experience running through Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, the group was formed to create a Latino-centered space in Milwaukee’s Southside where running encourages physical and mental well-being. Meeting weekly, their runs connect participants to local streets and landmarks that celebrate Latino heritage and Milwaukee’s diverse urban landscape. Open to everyone but focused on Latino identity, Buena Tierra promotes inclusive, laid-back runs that foster camaraderie and support beyond just the pavement.
