    Miami 50/50 Attention: THIS IS AN OPEN ROAD ULTRAMARATHON! You will be traveling through the city on pedestrian paths and sidewalks, but you will encounter vehicular traffic throughout and must follow all pedestrian laws.On Saturday, June 12, 2027 race through an urban style 50 miler with your favorite running partner and team up to run through the beautiful sights of Miami, Florida. You will be running through a combination of some of Miami's hottest neighborhoods; Wynwood, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Calle Ocho, Coconut Grove, Brickell and more. This is a two-person Team Race not a relay. Both runners will be running the full 50 miles together at all times. No crew, no aid, only each other, totally self-supported. And no individual finishes. You either finish together or DNF together. There are three divisions; Male Team, Female Team, Co-Ed Team. The course will wind through some of Miami's most historic and scenic areas. Runners will be 100% dependent on themselves. Drop bags will be

    allowed at each checkpoint. There are no aid stations, only checkpoints. Runners will need to navigate their way throughout the city to checkpoints by following their directional cards with step-by-step directions to receive their next batch of directions for the checkpoint. The course map will not be available beforehand. Part of the challenge and uniqueness of this race will be to navigate the directions given and to successfully reach the next checkpoint for further directions on the course. The first portion of the course map will only be available the morning of the race before race start. The rest of the course map will be given to runners as they check-in along the race between certain manned checkpoints that will be placed along the route; approximately every 10-15 miles. Race Check-in and packet pick up - Friday 6/11 between 4:00pm - 7:00pm We will have a pre-race briefing at 6:30pm on Friday 6/11 - This is a mandatory meeting for runners that have not participated in a Miami Ultra

    Race Series beforehand. During the meeting, we will cover safety information as well as how to use your directional cards. To participate in the challenge, you must first register for the Miami 100 and then add on the Miami 130 challenge. Finishers of the Miami 130 challenge will receive a special Miami 130 finisher's buckle in addition to the coveted Miami 100 finisher's buckle. Miami 130 challenge rules:To be allowed to start the Miami 130 challenge, you must finish the Miami 100 miler within the 32-hour cutoff. The Miami 130 Challenge has an overall 40-hour cutoff. There is no break between the legs. Once you cross the finish line for the Miami 100, you will immediately be given directions to complete the additional 30 miles.     Online registration is available as of September 1st until the start of the race, HOWEVER, there will be a price increase of $10 for Adults and those under 18 years starting Friday, November 6th at midnight.

    Virtual participants can walk or run their 5K anytime/anywhere between October 31st - November 7th, post their photos using #reasontorun, and tag Sofia’s Hope through their miles at @sofiashope.

    All participants will receive race swag (custom medal & official shirt), plus we'll have medals for top finishers. Swag will be mailed via USPS after 11/07.

    Packet Pick-Up

    At the Florida Blue location across from The Falls (8895 SW 136 Street) on Thursday, Oct 30th from 3pm-7pm & Saturday, Nov 1st from 10am-3pm. Packets can also be picked up the day of the race starting at 7am at Check-In.
