  Join us for the first annual VFW post 99.1 K fun run, a lighthearted “race” that’s only 0.1 km (about 328 feet) - Perfect for all ages and fitness levels! This family, friendly event is all about having fun, supporting veterans, and bringing the community together.

  Whether you walk, jog, skip, or stroll, we’ll cross the “finish line” with a smile – and help raise funds for programs that support veterans and their families through the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Home and local initiatives.

  Come for the laughs, stay for the camaraderie, food, and festivities. Costumes, patriotic outfits, and a good sense of humor are highly encouraged!

  Featuring a 4.5-mile run and a 2-mile walk/run. The courses are flat and take place in town, with the 4.5-mile route venturing out/back on a country road. There will be a water stop on the 4.5-mile route that will be passed twice.

  We encourage participants to dress in red, white and blue!

  Delicious post-race food and beverages will be served. This year's menu: spaghetti, marina sauce, meat sauce, rolls, salad and - of course - the famous GOOD COOKIES!

  CHECK-IN and SAME DAY REGISTRATION is 6:00am-7:15am. PLEASE HAVE EXACT CASH

  Shirts can be picked up before the race from 6:00am-7:15am.

  To be guaranteed a shirt, you must be registered prior to June 15th. There will be a LIMITED supply of extra shirts day of race.

  Any unclaimed shirts by July 10th will be forfeited

  50th Annual Turkey Trot - Fairview Park Decatur, IL 9 a.m., November 22nd

  Enter the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or 1/2 mile Turkey Tot Trot in Fairview Park! Tot Trot includes a T-shirt and participation prizes (ages 12 and Under). 5K, 10K, and Half races include computerized results and 3-deep awards per age group. Register by November 2 to guarantee long-sleeved shirt. No shirt orders will be made after this date. Late-Registrations can be submitted online at Runsignup.com until November 14. After November 14th you can only sign up at the pavilion the morning of the race. We are asking all Half Marathon runners to be competitive and are aiming to end all running by 12 noon. This race has been graciously sponsored by ADM and Fleet Feet Decatur. Everyone who completes the Half Marathon in Fairview Park will receive a surprise gift! We will have the Rockwell Coffee Truck on site for the race.
