Now in our 28th year, we invite you to run or walk at Duke Island Park for our youth's future on April 18th, 2026.

We literally have something for everyone!

Our sanctioned 5K is for everyone from the competitive runner to the joyful walker. USATF-NJ members can earn 500 points in the 2025 Grand Prix competition. For those not up for the full 3.1 miles, register for our 2 Mile Walk. Busy that day? We've got a virtual event.

Keeping the kids sprints!

While a 5K brings excitement to the day, kids sprinting brings pure joy. Children aged 2 to 7 are grouped with those who are the same age and tasked with sprinting to the finish line. It's the real experience with bib and finisher medal. Registration is $10.

This event is as much about community as it is fundraising. If you are struggling to pay our registration fees, please email courtney-newman@comcast.net for financial assistance.

Come and be a part of our annual walk/run 5K at Green Acres Fields Mall in Piscataway, NJ.

Age-based discount (3 - 18) available up to one week before the event. Applied automatically at checkout.

Registration will be available on the day of the event.

Packet pickup is available between 7:00 am - 8:15 am.

The walk/run race will start at 8:30 am.

Our event will end at 10:30 am.

Food will be available during and after the walk/run.

Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome.

Parking is available on-site.

Two water stations are available on the course.

Portable toilets are available on-site.

10K race: 9:00 am

5K race: 9:00 am

Walkers go out immediately after the races begin.

Why walk 45 minutes? That's the average amount of time a child in rural Kenya walks one way to school each day!

The medal ceremony will take place as soon as results are tabulated.

While we look back fondly on our tenure in the heart of Downtown Somerville, we welcome you to enjoy the many perks of our new event home: ample, close, and free parking; reduced commuting concerns in our less congested location; and a traffic-free 5K and Walk course. Kick off your holiday weekend on Thursday evening with all of the amenities the community has come to love since 2006 including a fun lively atmosphere, your choice of run/walk/dash, souvenir shirt and prizes, and dinner-time refreshments.
