The Campfire Classic is not just about running; it’s about community and giving back. Proceeds will benefit the Barry County Youth Camp, which provides a transformative summer camp experience for children ages 7-10 who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

Thanks to partnerships with local schools and the generous contributions from our community, this camp brings joy and adventure to youth in Barry County. By registering for the Campfire Classic, you’ll help ensure that more children can experience the magic of summer camp.

    The 44th edition of this most affordable walk/run in the 4-State area, the Dogwood Run 5K has been held annually in Neosho, Missouri since Eldon Morgan, a Neosho native and late Joplin RoadRunner, first hosted it in 1983.

    This race's only intention is to see you and your family walk or run and enjoy the famous, blooming Neosho Dogwoods on your way!

    Instead of medals, the first 100 finishers will receive a dogwood sapling!

    In addition, we will have awards for age group winners as well as the Delynn Kuhn Lifetime Achievement Award for the fastest older runner. Top male and female receive a large dogwood sapling. Special event Race Cap is optional.

    Not interested in setting a 5K time running or walking, or any of the race awards or dogwood trees? You just like the event race cap and have a relaxed, leisurely walk around Neosho's dogwood streets? Simply sign up for the Cap & Walk option.

    Course outline:

    Clockwise loop with start and finish at Big Spring Park in Neosho, MO. The course takes you through the most beautiful, rolling streets with the dogwoods and redbuds in full bloom. Bring your camera!

    Proceeds from this event help provide the seed money for Joplin RoadRunners' multiple charity runs in the Joplin-Carthage-Neosho area.

    For this Dogwood Run/Walk, Joplin RoadRunners keep the cost low so you can bring the whole family without breaking the bank.

    The dinner and auction is such a heartwarming experience. Seeing the past and present Power of Pink recipients

    come together, gathering support from each other is beautiful. The encouragement this dinner brings so pure joy.

    The 5k/ 1 mile walk is an exciting time. We paint the town pink! There will be

    another auction, food, basket raffles, lots of fun and smiles.

    Registration will begin @ 8:00 5k/1 mile will begin IMMEDIATELY after the AUCTION.

    Awards will go to overall male and female and 1st, 2nd 3rd age groups

    To guarantee a shirt register by April 15th.

    If you are a breast cancer survivor register as one. You will receive a SURVIVOR shirt

    Same day registration will be available.

    Packet pick-up will be the day of 5k/1 mile event
