  Logan Running Festival

  The Logan Running Festival is the brainchild of former NRL player and Crestmead resident, Mark Tookey.

  After having raced in various fun runs, triathlons and ultimately marathons, Mark began planning Logan's very first marathon, to be staged at the tranquil Berrinba Wetlands.

  Mark had three main goals for the Logan Running Festival -

  1. Affordable for everyone

  2. Category for everyone with a 9 hour time limit to complete the full marathon

  3. The event to include music, food and fun - a real party atmosphere!

  This will not be your typical marathon however. The Berrinba Wetlands route is a little over 5 kilometres, so in order to complete the half and full marathons, competitors will be running laps of the circuit and surrounds. Every competitor will have a timing chip inserted into their unique racing numberplate bib, which you will design yourself. Your racing bib will become unique to you, and therefore a special memento for you to keep.

For a decade, we’ve brought people together to traverse the most scenic trails of the Griffith University Logan campus and this year, we’re proud to once again support Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland. The 2km COLOUR FUN RUN returns after selling out in its first year, as well as the traditional 5km and 10km distances. The courses are run over a variety of different surfaces, from dirt and grass to gravel and asphalt. You'll find sharp turns, short steep hills and long cantered sections all combining to constantly disrupt your rhythm. Have some fun in the colour run or challenge yourself in the glorious longer distances courses! If you're part of a school community, check out our 'Schools Challenge', a fun and engaging event which

  Inaugural Dash & Splash - Join this fun fundraising event and help the QLD Law Enforcement Torch Run raise money to help send our Special Olympic athletes to the National Games in Victoria later this year.

  Join us and run, walk or jog 5kms alongside the amazing crew at Sandgate parkrun followed by a delightful 25m swim in the outdoor pool at the Sandgate Aquatic Centre. Sandgate pool is extremely inclusive and have options in the indoor heated pool for those with limited mobility or require the use of a wheelchair.

  Included in the registration fee is an event shirt/singlet, a complimentary beverage and a complimentary breakfast burger. Please only choose ONE beverage, one meal and either one event singlet or one event shirt per participant.

  Please arrive before 7am to register and receive your merchandise as the "dash" part of the event kicks off at 7am sharp with the Sandgate parkrun crew. The "splash" kicks off at 8am at the Sandgate pool conveniently located beside the Sandgate parkrun start/finish line.
