  • Race Day Packet Pickup at the START LINE 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM

  • Start Line is on Prince George St. between Nassau St. and Henry St. (This year closer to Nassau St.)

  • Two Shilling Mile begins at 7:00 AM at the Finish Line on Duke of Gloucester St.

  • 5K Run/Run Walk/Competitive Walk Begins at 7:30 AM

START: The race starts on Prince George St. (the Start line is in front of Nassau St.) runs through Williamsburg and Colonial Williamsburg ending on Duke of Gloucester St. Runners will pass the Governor's Palace and the Colonial Capitol building before finishing the final 800 meters on the most famous street in America, the Duke of Gloucester Street.

Age groups begin at 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, then 5 year increments extending to 80 and over.

FINISH: The Finish is on Duke of Gloucester St. (D.O.G. St.) just before Nassau St.

AWARDS: Top three overall men and women receive Cash award of $200 1st Place, $100 2nd Place, $50 3rd Place plus a custom medal. Top three finishers in each age group receive a custom medal. 1st Place Male and Female Masters receive a cash award of $50.00. Top three male and female masters (age 40+) receive a custom medal. 1st Place Male and Female walker receive a cash award of $50.00. Top three male and female walkers receive a custom medal. Three Team awards: Fastest Team, Largest Team and Largest Donation. Winning teams receive custom plaque. Two Shilling Mile and 5K finishers receive a custom finisher medal.     Virginia Regional Ballet, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and the Colonial Road Runners announce the 9th annual 5K in Williamsburg, on a counterclockwise loop of the beautiful tree-lined First Colony neighborhood, 125 Pasbehegh Drive. This is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event. The purpose of this popular event is to raise funds for a live orchestra for Virginia Regional Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker ballet at Ferguson Center for the Arts, Newport News, in December. The family-friendly 5K event begins at 8:00 a.m. with a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, and at 8:30 a.m. the 5K begins, with awards and refreshments following in the First Colony Pavilion.

    Start/Finish: Details of racecourse with landmarks will be available at check-in.

    Parking: Parking at Jamestown Beach Event Park is $10.00 per vehicle. The option for pre-paid parking tickets are available with online registration for $5.00 per vehicle. This option is available during the registration process or anyone (competing or not) is able to purchase a stand alone pass within the registration store. Anyone who pre-pays for parking will be put on the pre-paid list at the guard shack.

    Time of first event: Saturday 10am, Sunday 11am

    Course: The racecourse will consist of a mile loop marked with large colored buoys. There will be an in water start at the start/finish line. Finish Banner marks finish line. A video based timing system will be used.

    • You are permitted to register multiple participants under the same transaction.

    1. Teams can request a coupon code which would permit either individuals on a team to register without having to pay at that time or a coach can enter all of their athletes and then be sent a single invoice or the entry fee would be payable at check-in.

    2. Large Teams can request a preformatted spreadsheet to complete their entries. This option would bypass the online platform and allow for a team leader to enter all information on the spreadsheet. Please contact the meet director if you are interested in this option.

    Kingswood Recreation Association is hosting our 10th annual 5K fun run and walk and a 1 mile fun run for kids! The event will be held Saturday June 7, at 8:30 and 8:00 am respectively. All race participants may spend the day at Kingswood Pool after the race. The race proceeds will benefit Kingswood Pool and Recreation Association. The 1 mile fun run begins at 8:00 am and the 5K run/walk begins at 8:30 am. The awards will be held at 9:45 am with 90+ awards. This race is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event.

    Awards: Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, to the top three in five year ages groups from 14 and under to 70 and over. Awards are also given to the top three men and women in the walk division.

    T-shirts: T-shirts and exact sizes are only guaranteed to entrants who register by Wednesday, May 27, 2026. After May 27, shirts are first come, first served, while supplies last.

    Kingswood Pool 5K Run Course

    Start and finish - pool asphalt driveway at "No Parking" sign, close to the clubhouse. Runners congregate on the wide area of the parking lot.

    Right on Spring Road.

    Left on West Kingswood Drive to very end of road out-and-back, with one cul-de-sac to the right on Regency Court, necessary to make our 3.1-mile distance for the 5K.

    Right on Spring.

    Right on Oak Road to end of road out-and-back.

    Right on Perry (side street) on way back.

    Left on Holly Road.

    Diagonal crossing of Spring to Right on Kingswood Drive.

    Right on Dover Road.

    Left on Oxford Road for one block.

    Left on Kingswood Drive.

    Right on Spring.

    Right into pool entrance. And continue on gravel, then asphalt, driveway to the pool clubhouse and sign. Distance 3.105 miles for 5K.

    One Mile Fun Run

    For the one mile fun run:

    1. Go out the pool sidewalk/pathway to Kingswood Drive, and do the Kingswood Drive/Dover Road/Kingwood Drive loop (a portion of the 5K course), with a brief out-and-back to just before Spring Road, returning by the same concrete sidewalk to the finish. Same start/finish line as 5K.
