Summer Trail Fest Ultra 50 Mile, 50K, Half Marathon, and 5 Mile – June 13, 2026

Summer Trail Fest Ultra (STFU) is back for its fifth year on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Sleepy Hollow State Park in Laingsburg, Michigan. This summer trail race is the perfect mix of beginner-friendly and PR-worthy, with smooth, well-marked singletrack and generous cutoffs that make it accessible for both new and experienced trail runners. Whether you’re ready for your first ultra marathon, looking to nail a faster half marathon, or want to test yourself on the 5 mile trail race, STFU delivers a one-of-a-kind Michigan trail running experience.

The course features about 90% well-groomed trails with minimal technical terrain, making it an ideal choice for anyone stepping up to longer trail distances. With 21:43/mile cutoffs for the 50K and 15:18/mile cutoffs for the 50 Mile, you’ll have plenty of time to finish strong. Aid stations are well-stocked with water, electrolytes, gels, and real food options, so you can run without a crew and still be fully supported.

After the finish line, the fun doesn’t stop. Stick around for a post-race cookout and BBQ featuring burgers, hot dogs, sides, and plenty of trail camaraderie. In 2026, spectators can even purchase picnic tickets, so your family and friends can join the celebration too.

Even better? STFU is the summer counterpart to the February Winter Trail Fest (WTF) Half Marathon & 5 Mile in Brighton and Middleville. Each year, the STFU and WTF medals are designed to magnetically connect into one giant finisher medal. You can also register through the WTF + STFU bundle to save 15% off each race while guaranteeing your spot in both events.

Why Run STFU?

  • Beginner-friendly trail race with smooth, scenic singletrack

  • Distances for everyone: 50 Mile (brand new in 2026), 50K, Half Marathon, and 5 Mile (run or ruck)

  • Generous cutoff times (51:31/mile for the Half Marathon, 21:43/mile for the 50K, 15:18/mile for the 50 Mile)

  • Well-stocked aid stations and drop bags so you can run without a crew

  • Excessively well-marked course that keeps navigation stress-free

  • Post-race cookout and BBQ celebration at the finish line

  • Medals that magnetically connect with Winter Trail Fest for a full-season accomplishment

  • Central Michigan location, convenient to both east and west sides of the state

Summer Trail Fest Ultra is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of summer trails, community, and the joy of finishing something big. Register today and get ready to STFU and Run on June 13, 2026!
