For over 200 years, Parkinson Disease has been steadily growing—and recently, at an alarming rate. It is now the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world. In the U.S., Florida has the highest number of cases per capita, with over 79,000 individuals affected, contributing to the 1 million cases nationwide and 10 million globally. That number is projected to rise to 12.9 million by 2040.

Parkinson’s is a chronic, progressive, and complex multi-system disorder with no known cure. While often classified as a movement disorder, it affects much more than just physical movement, impacting mental, emotional, and autonomic functions as well.

The Lee Health Parkinson Program has served over 4,500 individuals in our community and currently supports nearly 2,000 people. Our mission is to provide hope and critical resources to help individuals and families navigate the challenges of living with Parkinson’s. Offering, at no cost personalized support, education, movement and exercise classes, enrichment groups, and social activities to help improve quality of life. Until there is a cure, there is a community—one that stands together to ensure no one faces Parkinson’s alone.

Join us for the Parkinson's 5K & Wellness Walk, benefiting the Lee Health Parkinson Program, as we come together to raise awareness and funds for local Parkinson’s support initiatives. This exciting event takes place at Lee Health Sports Park, Hammond Field, right after spring training, making it the perfect way to enjoy a day at the ballpark while supporting a great cause!

Get ready to turn up the volume and lace up your running shoes for a Rock & Roll themed Rock the Run 5K and 2 Miler, coming to a new location at Coconut Point Mall in Estero, Florida! This high-energy, in-person event is all about music, movement, and making a difference. Whether you’re a runner, walker, or just here for the tunes, you’ll experience an unforgettable morning filled with great Music, cheering crowds, and a rocking atmosphere from start to finish.

The Rock the Run 5K and 2 Miler begins and ends at Coconut Point, featuring a flat, scenic course that’s perfect for runners and walkers of all levels.

Participants can also join virtually, choosing between a 5K or 2-Mile Walk—so everyone can join the movement, no matter where they are. More than just a race, this event supports a life-changing mission. Every step helps raise awareness and funds for Head & Neck Cancer—a preventable and treatable disease that impacts more than 68,000 people in the U.S. each year. All funds raised stay right here in Southwest Florida, providing financial assistance to patients in need and supporting local cancer screenings and education.

Strides for Inclusion 5K Run-Walk-Roll presented by Pathways to Opportunity (PTO). PTO is a life skills development program dedicated to serving individuals with a wide range of disabilities, including Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, schizophrenia, polio, and other diagnosed/undiagnosed disabilities. Our mission is to provide opportunities for these individuals to reach their full potential by fostering personal growth, independence, and community integration for all individuals, enabling them to thrive and reach their fullest potential and lead fulfilling lives. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to thrive, and we are committed to making that a reality for those we serve.

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our EAF Public Safety 5k Run/Walk. The course is a scenic 3.1 miles around Babcock Ranch, starting and finishing at Founder's Square.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the race timed? Yes, it’s chip-timed.

Are there fun runs? Yes, untimed fun run participants start with the 5K.

Can I bring my dog? Yes, for an additional $10 added to your registration fee your dog will receive a CCSO EAF bandana. Your dog must be leashed, and you must start at the back of the race.

Are strollers allowed? Yes, but strollers must start at the back of the race.

Refunds: There are no refunds for this race. Race insurance is available at registration check out.
