Are you looking for something unique that empowers, develops character and inspires your kids? Then join Ironman World Championship Athlete & Coach, Josh Wolf and USA Triathlon Race Director & Coach Katy Renner for our popular youth triathlon camp! Camp will focus on the fundamentals of swimming, biking, and running. Athletes must bring their own bike, helmet, and gear for each sport. Kick off your Independence Day celebrations ahead of schedule by joining us for a 5K or 10K run at Old Town Lenexa!

Experience this family-friendly event, where over 1,600 participants come together for an unforgettable 4th of July experience. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or pushing a stroller, all are welcome to take part in this race celebrating the 4th of July!

You will receive a complementary Freedom Run T-shirt, while supplies last. We will honor size requests to the extent possible. Finisher medals are optional and cost $5. Plaques will be given out to first place finishers and medals given to 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age division. There are 16 different age divisions for both male and female in the 5K race. There are 8 different age divisions for both male and female in the 10K race. No refunds will be given.

There are two options for picking up your race packet:

July 3, 2026: from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center, 9301 Pflumm Rd., Lenexa, KS 66215

July 4, 2026: from 5:30 a.m. – 6:45 a.m. at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center, 9301 Pflumm Rd., Lenexa, KS 66215

Enjoy an 11-mile, closed-course bike ride from Old Town Lenexa through the Meritex caves. Decorate your bicycle in lights for this fun family ride! You will receive a Moonlight Bike Ride T-shirt, while supplies last. We will honor size requests to the extent possible.

“Light the Night” - bicycle-decorating contest

Decorate your bike in fun lights and enter into the Light the Night contest. Judging is at 9:30 p.m. at the start line of the race. (Prizes given to top 3 winners!)

Pancake Breakfast

Stick around for a tasty pancake breakfast after the ride ($8/$10 at the door).

Permitted Bikes

Participants must ride a two- or three-wheeled bicycle to participate.

A helmet must be worn, and your bicycle must have a front light and rear reflector. Rear lights are suggested.

July 18, 2026: 8–9:30 p.m. in front of the Old Town shops (Pflumm Road and Santa Fe Trail Drive).

The Midwest Triathlon Series brings together three of the region’s most respected and athlete-favorite events for a true test of consistency, grit, and endurance. Held over three consecutive weekends, the series challenges athletes to race back-to-back-to-back while experiencing the best multisport venues the Midwest has to offer.

*To be eligible for the Midwest Triathlon Series, participants must be registered for all three races within the series.

Designed for both seasoned competitors and motivated first-timers, the Midwest Triathlon Series rewards athletes who show up, dig deep, and race strong weekend after weekend. Complete all three events to earn series recognition and exclusive series swag while becoming part of a community that celebrates perseverance, sportsmanship, and Midwest pride.

Race three weekends. One series. Endless bragging rights.

Registration Note:

Athletes participating in the series must register for each race individually. Registration for the series does not include entry into the individual races, and athletes are responsible for completing separate registrations for all series events.

The 12th annual Diva Dash 5K /10K & Lil' Princess Girls Run will be Sunday, July 20 at 7:30 am at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, KS!

About the 5K and 10K - Participants receive a custom bib, and finishers of the 5K and 10K receive a large medal. Registrants can also purchase a custom race shirt for an additional $7 when they register.

About the Lil' Princess Girls Run - girls ages 8 and under can participate in this fun run of 50-200 yards based on age. Participants will receive a shirt, custom bib, tiara, and Lil' Princess medal. The Lil' Princess Fun Run starts after the 5K is complete (approximately 8:30 am).

About the Virtual 5K - run on your own whenever and wherever works for you and we will mail your shirt, bib, and finisher's medal to you.
