At 1,856 meters above sea level, the Leichtathletik Bahn track becomes a weekly gathering point where St. Moritz's visiting elite athletes and local runners converge on Thursday evenings. Luca Pollerhoff founded MAUN.TEN St. Moritz in March 2024 with a simple observation: the resort town drew Olympic athletes and endurance professionals from across the globe, yet no genuine local community bridged the gap between them and Upper Engadin residents. He built something without registration fees, coaching tiers, or qualification barriers. Around 25 regular members now show up regardless of pace or experience, alongside curious newcomers. The crew has expanded into cycling and cross-country skiing, unified by the belief that endurance sport functions best as collective effort. But the Thursday 6 p.m. track session remains the heartbeat. When breathing becomes labor at altitude, social boundaries dissolve and honest connections form.
