If you are looking for a fun camp to achieve some fitness goals, feel included, safe and supported, then this is the camp for you! Whether you are new to triathlon, or have been involved in the sport for some time, this inclusive camp will cater to where you are, and what you want to accomplish. We all have different goals and we are here to ensure you are successful with your training, and you might be surprised at what you can accomplish!

Whatever your reason or reasons, getting yourself to a standard is why most people choose to go on a triathlon training camp at the beginning of triathlon season. We welcome a variety of levels of fitness, training duration preference and experience.

What you can expect at the Okanagan Triathlon Training Camp:

Coaching and Support – experienced coaches who specialize in swim, bike and run. Participants will benefit from guidance on various aspects of triathlon, including swimming technique, cycling skills, running form, and specialized recovery sessions (yoga). All workouts will be supported by the coaches and a vehicle will always be available on the bike and runs, for encouragement, extra nutrition and the ability to add or take off a layer. Swims will have paddle board support.

Focused Training and Skill Improvement – a concentrated and focused period of training allowing participants to immerse themselves without the distractions of daily life. This intensity can lead to quicker skill development and improved fitness. Participants will receive personalized feedback on their technique, leading to more efficient and effective performance. Drills will be utilized within the training.

Community and Motivation Boost – this is an excellent opportunity for triathletes to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for the sport and are extremely supportive of one another. Receiving encouragement from coaches and other athletes, and experiencing a new training environment can provide a motivational boost. The collective energy of camp will inspire participants to push their limits.

Athina's Ride invites cyclists & runners everywhere to be part of our mission to find a cure for desmoid tumours. Whether you choose to ride/run/walk in your hometown, or join us in beautiful Oyama, B.C for the ride, your participation makes a difference in the fight against this rare disease.

On June 27th, 2026, Athina Merckx will lead a special 40km ride as part of the Okanagan Graveller event in Oyama for participants who have fundraised or donated $100 or more 40 spots available. Following the ride, join us for a celebratory social and silent auction at the Oyama Community Hall.

Can't make it to Oyama? Create your own ride experience wherever you are. Ride solo or gather a team, set your distance goals, and track your training journey. Over the past three years, our community has raised more than $390,000 for research, with 100% of proceeds supporting the Desmoid Tumour Foundation of Canada. Every donation is tax-deductible, and every kilometre cycled or ran brings us closer to finding a cure.
