5k Run Walk

Back by popular demand! Union Academy High School Student Council and the Varsity Cross Country team are partnering up with the UA Foundation to put on UA’s first ever Cardinal Color Run. Our color run is a 5-kilometer race where participants are covered in colored powder while running, walking, or jogging. The powder is non-toxic, gluten-free, and safe for people and pets of all ages and it washes away easily. Participants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color. Fifty percent of the proceeds and all donations will be donated to Victory Junction.

THINGS TO KNOW:

  • Two age groups: 13+ and 12 & under

  • Race registration deadline is 4/8/26 to lock in price and guarantee a t-shirt

  • Registration after the 4/8/26 deadline will result in price increase of $5 and no guarantee of t-shirt

  • REGISTRATION ENDS ON 4/18/26

  • Race-day registration will open back up at 6:00 am until 8:00 am on 5/2/26

  • Race-day check-in for all runners begins at 7:00 am on 5/2/26

HOW CAN YOU PREPARE?

At Cameron’s House of Hope, we are honored to host our very first 5K Walk/Run to support the children we serve. This special event helps us raise funds to continue providing counseling, tutoring, and a safe, loving environment for children impacted by parental substance use disorder. Whether you choose to walk or run, every step you take helps provide hope, healing, and a brighter future for our kids.

The race will take place on the track and field behind Metrolina Christian Academy, with a 9:00 AM start time. This is a family-friendly event, and we encourage you to bring everyone! We’ll have inflatables, face painting, coffee and breakfast trucks, and plenty of fun for all ages.

When you register, your registration fee includes a fun Cameron’s House race t-shirt and race bib. Bib and t-shirt pickup will take place during race week here at Cameron’s House of Hope, giving you the opportunity to see the sweet home you are running for and the lives you are helping impact. T-shirt cut off is April 2nd, so register before then in order to receive a t-shirt for the race. Top 10 runners will earn a metal!

Run for a cause. Walk with purpose. Have fun, and help us break the cycle, one step at a time.

Funds raised support inclusive sports for kids with and without disabilities - past events include basketball, soccer, swimming, and tennis. We also raise disability inclusion awareness in our community through events such as The Charlotte Knights Community Corner, Charlottetowne Hops, Girl Scout Troops, After School Programs, parades, run clubs, therapy offices, concerts, and disability inclusion proclamations at Town Council meetings.

REGISTER NOW! This is a cause you can be proud to support!

The vision for Let's Include Landon is to bring children with and without disabilities together - not just for a day of an event, or a week of camp, but to create lifelong friendships. In the future we hope we won't need organizations like Let's Include Landon because people of all abilities will naturally be included.

Please visit our website letsincludelandon.org for more information on how to volunteer or participate.
