Entry Requirements

Runners must meet one of the listed qualifying standards of the race website. The entry fee applies to all runners regardless of qualification time. USA 24 Hour Qualifier

The Desert Solstice 24 Hour Run will serve as an ideal qualifier for the USA 24 hour national team to compete in the world 24 hour championship.

Timing

Laps will be recorded by a bib chip timing system and will be submitted for USATF record purposes, including a timing point on the back side of the track (every 200M). All timing will be contained on your bib so you must wear prominently for the duration of the event.. You may leave the track at any point in time during the race, but you must return to the same place before continuing. You may not leave and return directly by the timing equipment, to avoid double counting a lap. Every 4 hours we will change the direction of travel. Your number of laps, distance, and race will be shown on an electronic display near the start.

Race Course

The race route is a certified 400-meter all-weather track located at Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ.

Results

Entrants will receive results for their 100-mile split (if they reach that distance) AND the 24-hour. E.g.: This means if you're applying to run a 50KM world record and stop at that point, your ultra signup will reflect 50KM distance for the 24-hour event. All entrants will be registered for the 24-hour event.

Volunteers

We cannot produce this event without the help of our amazing volunteer team. If you would like to join our volunteer team, we are looking for help with event setup, main aid station, timing, and event breakdown. To register by mail please complete and return our Mail-in Registration Form! Please make checks payable to StartLine Racing. Mail-in registrations will be accepted until November 11, 2026.

Can't make it to this year's event but still want to participate? We are excited to announce our Community Unity 5K Virtual Race. A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. All virtual race participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and custom event dri-fit tech t-shirt. All you have to do is register above! Please note - your virtual packet will be mailed out the week following the event.

Age Group Awards for Top Three in all Age Groups (not gender specific). Our age groups are the following:

• 8 & Under, 9 & 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over

Awards given to the following: Top Overall Finisher, Largest Team, Top Individual Fundraiser, Top Team Fundraiser, and Best Dressed Team.

Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

Chip Timed with Real Time Results and Photos on our Website or Mobile App (on Apple and Google)

Event managed by StartLine Racing. Club SLR discounts do not apply.

Please note any race related items (shirts, medals, etc.) will NOT be mailed to those who register for the in person event and choose not to attend.

Race Day Information

Race Day Check In will be available beginning at 8:00am at Charlie's Phoenix (race location).

• Charlie's is located at 727 W Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85013

We accept cash, or credit card on race day

• Cost of registration on race day will be $50 for the 5K.

We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons.

No roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

Leashed pet friendly (booties encouraged to protect paws)

Due to the common start/finish line, there is no bag check for this event.

This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds for due to weather.
