General Information:

  • The event will run unless there are thunderstorms!

  • Please Join us for this "Old School", 8-week race series.

  • Participants in this series will enhance SRC's continuing efforts to provide scholarships to area high school students that plan to continue running collegiately.

  • Join us for this judgement free event. Participants have ranged from beginning walkers to sub 5-minute milers and all have had fun chasing their goals.

  • The races will start at 6:00 pm near the pavilion in Wheelock Park.

  • The course is 2.8 - miles in length on a flat, out and back twisty loop, with a Circle (because Keene loves circles)! Get ready for some fun and excitement!

  • Sign up here or on location race day.

  • Cost: $10. per event or $50.00 for the entire 8-week series. Students are half price, $5.00 per event or $25.00 for the entire series.

  • When registering a student: click "Sign Up" for the appropriate date, then use the red "Special Pricing" icon.

  • Receive your time while enjoying some light refreshments after the finish.

  • The event is conducted rain or shine but not lightning and thunder.

  • Cancelation Policy: Sorry, no cancelations will be permitted. Please consider your entry as a Tax-Deductible Donation.

  • Continued in 2026! Complete 6 of the 8 events and receive a T-shirt! Sign up for the entire series... sorry that's not good enough! You must be in attendance and actually finish 6 out of 8 of the events!

    Registration Information: Sign up by April 24th and registration is $25 for each walker and runner! The registration fee increases to $30 after April 24th. The Kid's Sprint fee is $10 for each child, ages 10 and under.

    The May Day 5K Race will start and end at the Cheshire Children's Museum. The route will follow the Cheshire Rail Trail and turn around at the Bradford Road trail entrance.

    The Cheshire Children's Museum will be hosting our 1st annual May Day 5K Run/Walk on Sunday May 3rd, 2026. This family friendly 5K rail trail race also includes free activities, food, community sponsor booths and more. The Kids 1 Mile Run will start at 10:00 am and the 5K Run/Walk will start at 10:30 am. The race will begin and end at the museum with a turn-around just before Bradford Road.

    The museum is open to the public, no reservations required. Please visit https://cheshirechildrensmuseum.org/ for more information!

    Funds raised will help expand programming, enhance exhibits, and provided access to the museum for all families in the region.

    Join us at the Keene Dillant-Hopkins Airport for the 3rd annual Keene Airport 5K to benefit The Keene Senior Center.

    The Runway 5K Race Map is different this year. Instead, the race begins at the Airport Terminal and continues on a tree-lined flat, fast paved road that passes through scenic wildlife filled wetlands. This course offers more protection from the wind, great for PRs (personal records). This area is highly acclaimed for its rich and varied bird watching.

    In addition to being a great route for runners, the race is also walker- and stroller-friendly.

    We’re also bringing plenty of excitement with great prizes, including a special random drawing for a helicopter ride.

    Marlborough for the running of the Marlborough 250th Birthday Bash Mad Dash. The theme of this year’s race will be Semiquincentennial: The 250th anniversary of the founding of both the United States and Marlborough.

    The 5K race and fun run attracts competitive and recreational runners of all ages. USATF-certified, the

    Mad Dash is a challenging course, winding along scenic rural roads and rolling hills lined with stone

    walls and spectacular views of Mount Monadnock.

    Commemorative t-shirts are included in the registration — but only for the first 60 registrants. Don't miss

    Prize categories for the race this year have been greatly expanded. This year, the top three male

    and female runners will receive awards and prizes. First Place Men’s and Women’s runners will

    receive $100.00 cash Second Place Men’s and Women’s runners will receive $50.00 cash Third

    Place Men’s and Women’s runners will receive $25.00 cash

    In addition to the awards and prizes listed above, top finishers in each of the following categories
