  All scholarships are open to ANY High School Senior (class of 2026) in the states of WV, KY, or OH going to college this upcoming Fall Semester.

  Submissions will be accepted until April 17, 2026 at Midnight. The winners will be announced sometime in May/June. The scholarships will be paid directly to the student's school of choice upon proof of enrollment.

  Funding for these scholarships are raised from some of our Signature Races that we host annually.

  The Daughters of the American Revolution, Westmoreland Chapter will hold its inaugural Ramsdell Run 5k run/walk on May 16, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The course is a fast and flat race through the communities of Ceredo and Kenova. The Run/Walk begins and ends at the C-K Little League's Mitch Stadium located next to the Ceredo Plaza. Parking is available at the Ceredo Plaza parking lot.

  THIS RACE IS AN OFFICIAL NATIONAL QUALIFIER FOR THE STATE GAMES OF AMERICA

  All medalists are eligible represent the state of West Virginia at the 2026 State Games of America being held in Happy Valley, PA. For more information visit the official website by clicking the link.

  This race is also a qualifier for the 2028 State Games of America in Colorado Springs. Click the link above for more information.

  5K Trail Run/ Walk:

  The race will take place at Heritage Farm and start at the covered bridge. Racers will head up the Grindstone Trail till they reach the top of the trail. From there, racers will head to the Corn Husker Trail and descend down it finishing near the covered bridge.

  Medals for overall men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers along with men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in age groups U18, 18-35, 36-50, 51-64, and 65+.

  11K Trail Run

  The race will be an extended version of the 5K Trail Run for veteran trail runners looking for extra thrill!

  Medals for overall men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers along with men's and women's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in age groups U18, 18-35, 36-50, 51-64, and 65+.

  1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

  This 1 mile hike will be a fun farm walk or run across the beautiful Appalachian scenery of Heritage Farm.

  Kid division medals for overall boys and girls 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers along with boys and girls 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in age groups 5U, 6-10, 11-15. Top 3 adult (16+) men and women will be awarded medals as well.

  All registrations come with a 2026 State Games of West Virginia Shirt!

  The State Games of West Virginia is the first state games in the Mountain State associated with The National Congress of State Games and The State Games of America. (The State Games of America is an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Game medal winners (gold, silver, bronze) from across the nation. There are currently 30 states conducting or organizing statewide sports festivals known as state games with West Virginia being the 30th.

  10 Miles // 1,000' of Elevation Gain

  The 10 Mile course encompasses a little something for everyone. The first four miles are truly a woodsman's dream as the course takes the runner through deep woods and prime single track. The end of the fourth mile culminates in the arrival of the river trail and the first hydration station. The river trail is both fast and flat. The river trail follows the Guyandotte River for 2.5 miles and will exit to the second aid station. The final 3.5 miles is primarily flat with only one challenging hill to traverse. Once uphill, breathtaking scenery awaits, as the trail overlooks the valley portion of Barboursville Park. The last eight tenths of a mile are downhill to the finish.

  4 Miles // 450' of Elevation Gain

  The course for the 4 Miler will be the first 4 miles of the 10 miler. As a warning to prospective runners, the first eight tenths of a mile is uphill and can prove challenging but rewarding. There is no hydration station on the 4 mile course.
