BOTH RACES ARE NOW SOLD OUT!

We are excited to announce we have reached our capacity for these races! If you are looking for a race on MV, please check out our sister race: The MV Winter Classic and Amity Relay taking place on February 14, 2026. Get information here!

Come join us on the beautiful island of Martha's Vineyard for a stunning full and half marathon. Both races promise gorgeous ocean views, the natural beauty of the center of the island, and all the charm the island has to offer. Both courses are flat and fast, with a couple rolling hills on the marathon course. The finish line for both races is in Oak Bluffs, at Waban Park.

In order to host a safe and enjoyable event in a fragile environment, this race will be capped at 500 runners total. As a USATF sanctioned event, all participants must be at least 16 years of age.

The marathon will start at 8:00 am Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School. The Half Marathon will start at 8:15 am from the same location. Both courses are USATF certified (MA 16036JK, MA 16037JK) and the marathon is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

There will be two opportunities to pick up your race bib and shirt. Saturday, April 25, bib pick-up will take place at Lululemon in Edgartown from 3:00-6:00pm. On race day, you can get your bib and shirt at the MV High School from 6:00 am to 7:30 am. For those traveling over in the morning, you will need to take the 6:00 am ferry. Bibs will not be mailed.

Like its sister race, The MV Winter Classic 20 Miler and Amity Relay, all proceeds from this race go back into our community's youth groups. The youth organizations & sports teams on the Island, who collaborate for this event, receive a share of the event proceeds. You will see the kids along the course manning aid stations and cheering runners on.

No dogs or strollers are permitted on the course

Ruck4HIT is a team-based ruck relay that challenges participants to carry both weight and purpose across Cape Cod. The event spans more than 200 miles through all 15 towns of the Cape and takes place over approximately 36 hours. Teams begin in Falmouth and ruck to the tip of the Cape in Provincetown, where the first team challenge—climbing the Pilgrim Monument together—marks a powerful midpoint of the race. Teams then turn back toward Falmouth, completing a second team challenge along the return route before finishing at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds and celebrating together at the Finish Line Party.

Ruck4HIT features three divisions—Jethro, Jones, and HELOS—each designed to offer a unique distance and level of challenge while maintaining the event’s core mission. The Jethro and Jones divisions complete the full 200+ mile course and both team challenges. The HELOS division covers 100+ miles and completes a single team challenge, providing a shorter but equally meaningful ruck experience.

Across all divisions, athletes run 2–4 mile legs while carrying a 10- to 20-pound rucksack. The rucksack symbolizes the burdens carried by our military members and veterans during service and long after it ends. Each mile represents hardship, resilience, and the perseverance required to complete the mission together.

Created in collaboration with local veterans, first responders, active-duty service members, and community supporters, Ruck4HIT raises awareness and funds for Heroes In Transition, Inc. Proceeds directly support programs benefiting veterans, active service members, and military families. This event is grounded in a simple promise: we carry the load together, honor those who serve, and never leave a fallen comrade behind.
