One in three girls and one in four boys are sexually assaulted by someone they know and trust. This creates a vulnerability that sexual predators prey upon.

We are addressing the important issues of human exploitation that affects many people. Our mission is to spread awareness and fundraise for solutions we have identified.

Seaside Stride Description

Welcome to 3rd annual Seaside Stride beach trek. Our 2nd Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series event will be April 11, 2026 with a staggered start. A 5:00 am start for 20 mile trekkers and an 8:00 a.m. start for 10 mile trekkers, both from Fish Lips Waterfront Grill.

This is not a race, but a community event to gather outdoor enthusiasts to RISE together to help bring awareness and end the sexual exploitation of others.

The Seaside Stride will consist of 2 options, a 10 mile or 20 mile beach trek. This is an out and back trek (walk) starting and returning to Fish Lips Waterfront Grill. It's a beautiful tide day but options to break away to the sidewalk are along the way. The course map is below.

NOTE: The 20 mile trek has a repeat section. The first turnaround is at the Hampton Inn then the 2nd turnaround is at Jetty Park back to the Hampton Inn for the 3rd turnaround and then returning to Fish Lips.

Participants should physically prepare, train and previously completed a similar distance before trek day. A training guide is available HERE!! While not required, we encourage individual fundraising and sharing physical training progress leading up to this adventure. The main goal of this event is to bring awareness to the tragedy of human trafficking and what better way than to invite personal friends and family into the journey!

Participants are responsible for providing your own personal snacks and drinks during the trek. Included in registration is post-trek celebration with a Free drink of choice and light breakfast snacks to enjoy before the trek with an event t-shirt and swag bag.

We do encourage that you stay and enjoy lunch at Fish Lips after the event and support our event sponsor!

​What truly sets the Average Joe Run apart is its unique approach to competition. While the event honors the swift with awards for the top 3 male and female overall finishers and winners across various age groups, the most coveted prize goes to the "Average Joe" and "Average Jane." In a fun twist, the person who finishes exactly in the middle of the pack is crowned the ultimate champion, proving that you don't have to be the fastest to take home the top honors.

​The fun doesn't stop at the finish line, as the race provides a post-run celebration filled with unlimited donuts and coffee. Every participant is treated like a VIP, receiving a personalized race bib, a high-quality dri-fit event shirt, and a spectacular finisher medal to commemorate their achievement. Mark your calendars and lace up your running shoes for the 11th Annual Grand Living Park at Lake Mary 5K Fun Run/Walk, a meaningful event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center (ADRC).

Event Details:

📅 Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026

⏰ Race Start: 7:30 AM (Arrive early to park, warm up, collect your race bib and shirt, and use the restroom.)

📍 Location: Grand Living Park at Lake Mary Assisted Living, 1001 Royal Gardens Circle, Lake Mary, FL 32746

Registration Fees:

$30 before race day

$35 on race day

What to Expect:

This is a non-chip timed event, perfect for runners and walkers of all skill levels. A clock at the finish line will display your time.

Awards: The top 3 males and top 3 females will receive awards. All finishers will receive a medal (limited to the first 400 registrants).

T-Shirts: Free commemorative T-shirts for the first 400 registrants.
