    Join us for the 46th Annual Run or Walk for Fitness of the Turtle Lake Turtle Trot 2026

    Turtle Lake Inter County Fair week.

    There will be a 10K run, 2M run and a 2M walk. So bring the whole family and enjoy the day. $25 pre-registered before 7/11/2026; $30 thereafter.

    Organized by Turtle Lake Lioness Club, and sponsored in part by The Village of Turtle Lake Lioness Tourism Commission.

    Registration and Packet Pick-up

    Online registration closes at noon on Thursday, July 9th.

    Race Day registrations are welcome between 6:45 – 7:45 at St Ann’s Center.

    Awards; 10 Age Groups will be awarded in the 2 Mile Run/Walk & 9 Age Groups awarded in the 10K Race.

    Pancake Breakfast 8:00am to 11:00am (Free Will Donation)

    The Shell Lake Lions Club is hosting two events at 8 AM on Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at the Shell Lake beach. Timing services are provided by Duluth Timing and Events. There are 2 events. The triathlon, a traditional swim/bike/run. Participants may also choose the duathlon, a run/bike/run event. Both events will run concurrently. Individual or teams may enter either event.

    Medals will be given to all participants. The triathlon course is a 1/3 mile swim, a 15 mile bike and 3.4 mile run. The duathlon is a 2 mile run instead of the swim, a 15 mile bike and 3.4 mile run.

    The Shell lake area has a great lake to swim in, great roads to bike and great roads & trails to run.

    Rutabaga Run

    For over 40 years the Rutabaga Run has been held as part of the Saturday events during the Rutabaga Festival. Choose to walk a 2 mile course, a 5k timed event through Cumberland's downtown area or take a scenic jaunt through Cumberland and around the shores of beautiful Beaver Dam Lake on the half marathon course.

    Forrest Run

    Brain cancer is an overlooked and serious cancer that has affected many people's lives today. The Forrest Run is named after Forrest Olson, who passed away from brain cancer. This run supports a non-profit foundation for brain cancer research and supports families that have a loved one suffering from brain cancer. There will be snacks, music and drinks, as well as medals for the winners of the race. All are welcome to be a part of this great cause and have a good time. Please come down by yourself, with a friend, or with your family. This run is sponsored by your Rice Lake FBLA chapter. Remember, Live for Today!
