8th Annual 2026 Colusa Circle 5K

🤫 SHHH! IT’S A SURPRISE! !DATE CHANGE! Alysia is going to the Boston Marathon so its now May 2nd!

You are invited to a birthday celebration unlike any other. To celebrate Alysia turning 40, we are taking over the historic Edwards Stadium at UC Berkeley for a one-mile track event!

Whether you’re looking to set a new Personal Best or just want a fun, nostalgic jog on a legendary track, this event is for you. We’re hosting a series of seeded heats so you’ll be running alongside people at your own pace.

The Details:

Distance: 1 Mile (4 laps of glory).

The Clock: We will have an official timer on-site to capture your results.

The Heats: Heats will be organized by your projected finish time. From elite speedsters to casual walkers, everyone has a place on the start line.

The Price: Entry is $19.86—a tribute to the year the guest of honor was born.

The Cap: Registration is strictly limited to the first 600 runners.

8:30 AM: Registration & Check-in Opens

9:00 AM: Opening Ceremony with Baba Ruben Drum Performance

9:30 AM: 5K around Lake Merritt starts in 2 waves - Racers and Walkers

9:35 AM: Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Master Sheldon

10:05 AM: Trauma Informed Yoga with Marsha Rosenblatt

10:40 AM: Dance Party and Closing
