🍀 Leprechaun Dash Fun Run – Race Description 🍀

Get ready to go green and dash for a great cause! The Leprechaun Dash Fun Run is our local daycare’s annual fundraiser, bringing families, friends, and the community together for a fun-filled day of fitness and festivity.

Whether you’re a tiny leprechaun or a seasoned runner, there’s a race for everyone:

Kids Run – A short, fun course designed just for our youngest runners

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk – Perfect for families and casual participants

5K & 10K – Scenic loops around town for runners looking for a challenge

Participants are encouraged to wear green, dress up in festive gear, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Proceeds support local daycare programs and services, helping us continue to provide quality care and education to our community’s children.

Come run, walk, or cheer — and help us chase the rainbow for a great cause! 🌈🍀

**T-shirts are not included in pre-registration this year. We lowered the price and have t-shirts as an add on during the registration process. T-shirts paid for before May 20th will be available for pickup at the race. Those purchased afterwards will be available for pickup at Big Tyme in Dillon or can be shipped for a small shipping fee.

Beaverhead Trails Coalition (BTC) teamed up with the Beaverhead County High School (BCHS) Cross Country team in 2019 to bring the first Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run to the Dillon Community. This is the 6th annual event where a 5K and 15K trail run located on the BTC’s High Trails just outside of Dillon takes place. In 2026 we are moving our race start to our new West Trailhead! Plan a weekend in Dillon, MT to attend this race and enjoy our trails.

The Pronghorn Pursuit, exclusively off-pavement, meanders through the gorgeous sagebrush hills of the High Trails System, with spectacular views of the Beaverhead River Valley below. The 15k course is challenging and will put your summer fitness to the test with 90% single-track and 2400’ of climbing. The course is a great mix of steep climbs and technical descents interspersed with sections of fast, flowing single-track. The 5K course offers a similar technical mix and the same great views, but at a more manageable scale for many runners. You can still expect to be challenged by this course, with some steeper sections climbing over 500’, but can look forward to the last kilometer being all downhill and smiles.

We invite you to visit our community, because we are a fun loving and hard working people. Dillon is located in Beaverhead County, which is home to a truly diverse group of Montanans, and totals close to three and half million acres. With room to roam, outdoor recreation abounds. Dillon is unique; it is a thriving small town that supports literally every type of small business including our local beloved flower shops, bookstores and eclectic coffee shops. We can't wait to see your smiling faces the weekend of June 6th!

For more information about the Beaverhead Trails Coalition please visit https://www.beaverheadtrails.org/

Food and awards will follow the races at the Trailhead. Runners are admitted free. Spectators pay $5.00.

Early Race Packet pick-up and late registration will be the day before the race from 4pm to 6pm. This will be located at the Patagonia Outlet store and please feel free show up early to shop and have drinks and snacks.

We are starting the race from our new trailhead this year, stay tuned for the new route. We will keep this page updated and update the maps as soon as we have charted the new courses.

Sponsors: Sweetwater Coffee, Pioneer Federal Savings & Loan, Pivots Plus- if you are interested in sponsoring contact www.beaverheadtrails.org

Welcome to the PioneerCrossingsRelay (PCR) race in beautiful Montana. A 175-mile long-running relay race consisting of 36 legs that takes on 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The PCR follows the classic 12-person relay model where each runner takes on 3 legs. Standard team runners are split up into two groups of 6 runners, van 1 and van 2. While runners 1 through 6 in van 1 run through their respective legs, runners 7 through 12 in van 2 get a break and travel to their transition station where runner 6 of van 1 hands over the baton to runner 7 of van 2. This cycle gets repeated till all 36 legs are completed, typically taking 24 to 32 hours. For runners wanting to take it up another notch, there will be the possibility to sign up as an ultra team, completing the whole course with a team of just 6 runners, or to sign up as a wild card team for teams with 3 to 10 runners. In this thrilling adventure, runners will conquer the picturesque landscapes of this stunning state. From breathtaking

mountains to big sky vistas and pristine forests, Montana offers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable relay race experience. With a start in Twin Bridges and a finish in Virginia City the PCR invites you to follow in the footsteps of past explorers, whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event promises to test your limits, foster teamwork, and create memories that will last a lifetime. So lace up those running shoes, gather your teammates, and get ready to embrace the challenge and beauty of this remarkable race in the heart of Montana!
