  The 3rd annual Zachary M. Negrón Unforgettable Trail Race occurs Sunday, April 12, 2026. This race is a family-friendly event with a competitive edge. Both the 5K and 10K races are timed with a chip for those wanting some competition! This year, we are making it possible for the youngest runners to participate by including them in the day’s festivities with a Fun Run, which will allow those in second grade or younger to run a mile around the Georgia Cumberland Academy track.

  We run in honor of two causes. The Unforgettable Foundation of Tennessee assists at-risk and grieving families with finances to help them afford a timely and dignified funeral for their children. The Zachary M. Negrón Memorial Scholarship gives scholarships to a select number of students at Georgia-Cumberland Academy who mirror the traits of perseverance and hard work, characteristics Zachary embraced as a student at GCA to accomplish his goals.

  Please plan to join us for the 5th. Annual running of the “Connor Luke Hayes Memorial 5K” Hosted by the “CLStrong Foundation.” Saturday morning – April 18th, 2026 – 8:00 AM – Calhoun City Recreation Department (Park) – Located at 10 McDaniel Station Rd, Calhoun, GA 30701.

  Race proceeds go to benefit the CLStrong Foundation whose mission is to honor our beloved Connor Luke Hayes. The Foundation hopes to be an example of “loving big’” just like Connor Luke did! An event of this nature will continue to allow the Foundation to give back to a community who showed such amazing love and support to our family throughout Connor’s journey. Our goal is simple....To raise money for the foundation, while also bringing awareness to childhood cancer, particularly High-Risk Neuroblastoma. Funds raised through the CLStrong Foundation will go toward scholarships for local students in Gordon County Schools and Calhoun City Schools, helping families dealing with childhood illnesses, and local community service projects, all while honoring Connor’s memory. Thank you for the support and God bless!

  Who was Connor Luke Hayes? Connor Luke was an intelligent, fun-loving, care-free spirit who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. Despite his diagnosis of High-Risk Neuroblastoma and end stage renal failure, he loved big and always wanted to give to others. He loved his family, his brother and his cousins. He loved Notre Dame football, the Sonoraville Phoenix, John Deere Gator rides, swimming, swinging and baseball. He was a light and inspiration to all who crossed his path and those who followed his story. CLStrong Forever! 🤟

  Our team at Mountaintop Boys Home invites you to our inaugural 5K fundraising event.

  Mountain Top is a Group Home for teen boys, and a foster care agency located on expansive acreage near the Chattahoochee National Forest. The mission of Mountain Top is to provide hope and healing to children and families that find themselves in crisis. These boys often arrive with unsureness of where life is bringing hem. With the challenges that they are facing, we help provide a place of hope and healing. Their daily life here is an organized family style living, guided by professional staff who care for each boy individually.

  Our event provides several ways you can participate and support.

  • Participate virtually from your place of choice. Run, walk...or even roller skate! Move at your own pace and what is comfortable for your body.
