A Portobello mushroom burger became the founding document of PB Running Club Frankfurt. Not a mission statement or performance philosophy, just the simple truth: you run, you sit, you eat, you talk. That deal has attracted more than 1,170 runners in less than a year. Founded on the first weekend of January 2025 by Gero and friends, the club meets twice weekly at the Literaturhaus Frankfurt in the city center, tracing seven to ten kilometres along the Main riverbank at moderate pace. Wednesdays at 19:00, Saturdays at 11:00. The crew is built for Frankfurt's international community: English-speaking, no fees, no pace requirements, genuinely open to anyone. What makes it stick is the non-negotiable ritual that follows every run. The mid-run break by the river, the group stretch, the meal together. The Portobello mushroom burger is just the meme. The real name is what happens when you show up the same day every week and eat at the same table.
