Registration Details - Early Registration Tiers

  • First 100 Participants to register receive special $30.00 entry fee.

  • Participants 101-250 to register receive special $35.00 entry fee.

  • Participants 251-450 to register receive special $40.00 entry fee.

  • Registrations after 450 people will pay the full price of $45.00 entry fee.

We know the race is more fun when others are involved, and we want to help out if you're bringing the whole family or a bunch of friends. Anyone who registers 3 or more people within the same transaction, will automatically receive a $5.00 discount per participant. All registrations must occur in the same transaction to apply. This works for family, friends, co-workers, or even strangers if you're willing to register in one transaction!

Want to save even more money? If you opt out of a t-shirt during your registration, you can further your discount. Just select "No Shirt" when your registration takes you to the shirt selection screen. (This option only applies through 3/5/26)

All entries before 2/1/26 will receive a complimentary collectors shot glass with their registration. All entries before 3/5/26 will receive a t-shirt with registration.

NOT drinking beer or root-beer? Register for the "Non-Competitor" event. If you wish to skip the drinking option we will still get your finishing time, but we'll remove you from the competitive results of the event and you will be placed in the 'non-competitive' division. You will run the course but you will not be required to drink at the stops.

Packet Pickup and final race registration available at Can't Stop Running Co: Monday 3/16/26 10am-7pm or at the race in Piqua 5-6:30pm on 3/17

Course-Race will be a loop downtown Piqua. Specific start line and parking instructions will be emailed to participants.

    Sam was a soldier in the Army serving our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedoms. Born and

    raised in Piqua, graduating from Piqua High, money raised stays here in Piqua and supports PHS seniors with scholarship

    funds towards furthering their education. The number of scholarships has increased year over year as result of the funds raised since this event started.

    5k Run/Walk begins at 8:00am

    WHERE: Stillwater Prairie Reserve. (9750 SR 185, Covington, Ohio 45318)

    DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 75 north & south, get off on exit 74, which is St Rt 41, in Troy. Go west, out of Troy, to Covington. 41 stops at State Route 48. Go north on SR 48 through & out of town, & SR 185 is a few miles out of town. Go west & Stillwater Prairie is a couple of miles down the road on the left. There are signs.

    PARKING: After entering the Park Entrance, take the first left toward the Big Bluestem Shelter. Big Bluestem Shelter can be found on the right side of this MAP.

    WATER: It is recommended that you carry it with you! There will be an unmanned water station about two miles into each loop. Because this is a 2 loop course, participants do have the option to set up their own personal mini-aid station along the course to grab a bottle of water, nutrition, etc. before starting their 2nd loop. If you do this, make sure that you mark/identify your stuff so that it is easily recognized as yours!

    COURSE: The course consists of 2 loops of 3.6 miles. 75% dirt or mulched trails, 10% gravel, 15% meadow with multiple river crossings of the Stillwater River (about mid-calf). Flush toilets are available at the start/finish.

    REGISTRATION: Registration is available to all through RunSignup prior to the race. Online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before race start and can be done in-person at the race. Hard copy registration sheets are also available on race day if needed. Minors may be registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian or in-person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.

    CHECK-IN: All participants must check-in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one of their shoes. Look for the table with the green tablecloth to get your chip.

    We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm-up prior to the race start.

    FEES:

    All Current ORRRC Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event)

    Non-Members:

    – $10 for ages 15 and up

    – Free for ages 14 and under

    Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!

    AWARDS:

    First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (40 and over), First Grand Master Male/Female (50 and over), First Male/Female Senior (60 and over) – All participants will receive a finisher’s award upon completing the course, so make sure that you enjoy the beautiful venue and the journey on the trails!

    ANIMAL POLICY: Due to our insurance coverage, animals are not permitted at any ORRRC event. The only exception is service dogs, which must be clearly identified. Persons with any other animals will be removed from the event (will not be issued a timing chip, and will not appear in results or photos). We thank you in advance for your cooperation!

    Race: Hero Harvest is sponsored by Operation Veteran and Caregiver support. All proceeds from the race help programs offered by Operation Veteran and Caregiver support to connect, empower and transform the lives of all veterans, families, widows and active duty in all branches.

    Awards: Top Male/Female overall and Male/Female top three (3) finishers in each age division.

    The race timing is done by Can’t Stop Running Co. All results will be announced after the race at Lock 9. They will also be posted on our website https://operationveterancaregiver.org/ and cantstoprunningco.com.
