    Race start / finish at Forbus Ct Shelter B

    Ryzon Refuge is a new faith-based nonprofit serving Horry County. At Ryzon Refuge, we work collectively with the community to support the needs of mothers and their children experiencing homelessness in our community. We are currently in Phase 1, which is to build 7 tiny homes made of refurbished modern shipping containers, along with a small community center to be used for education, fellowship, and more. Our goal is to have a total of 21 tiny homes within the same community.

    All proceeds will directly benefit the community through Ryzon Refuge!

    Come and work up your Thanksgiving appetite with a family friendly 5K and Kids' Dash! This is one of the largest races in the Myrtle Beach area! The race course is through the scenic Market Common region of Myrtle Beach, which was home to the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Runners and Walkers are all welcome!

    Race Info:

    • Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Service animals as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a service animal must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.

    • Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Wheelchairs, mobility aids, etc. as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a recognized device must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.

    • No water stop on course

    • 5K race begins at 8:00am

    • Gobbler Kids' (50 yards) Dash begins at 9:00am

    • Gun timing for overall awards

    • Chip timing for age group awards

    • USATF Certified Course

    • Runners and walkers are all WELCOME!

    • Post race water and snacks available for participants

    • **PLEASE NOTE--If you do not attend packet pickup prior to race morning, you will NOT receive your t-shirt until after you complete the 5K race/Gobbler Dash. You will need to come back to the info tent to pick up your shirt. Only race bibs will be distributed prior to the race on race morning.

    Twinkling Boardwalk Fun Run

    Description:

    Join us for The Twinkling Boardwalk Fun Run in Myrtle Beach at the Winter Wonderland at the Beach. Participants are encouraged to run or walk along this 1.6 mile route beginning at Plyler Park featuring a spectacular lights display along the Boardwalk! This is a perfect event for your family to begin a new tradition of enjoying the beauty of Myrtle Beach during the holidays and get active at the same time! Enjoy a live DJ, hot chocolate and candy canes (Moe Moons) afterwards in the park! This is an untimed event and no awards will be presented. All participants will be entered into a raffle prize drawing!

    • Turn left onto 2nd Ave N toward the Pier

    • Turn left onto the Boardwalk

    • Continue along the Boardwalk until you reach Plyer Park

    • Monday, December 7 from 4:30-6:00pm at Native Sons (1519 Executive Avenue, MB)

    • Tuesday, December 8 from 4:45-5:45pm at Plyler Park (10th Ave N, MB)
