Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

    Makeup Date Information: 5/31/2026

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

The Oregon Tech Twilight Fun Run is hosted by Oregon Tech Wellbeing in collaboration with the Campus Activities Board and Sky Lakes Medical Center. This year, we have partnered to combine the Fun Run with the annual Music Garden!

Route: The Fun Run will begin at Eulalona (formerly known as Kit Carson) Park, proceeding up the trail that runs parallel to Crater Lake Parkway, to El Dorado, up Daggett, and then right on Bryant Williams Way and around campus, coming into the main entrance of campus and ending at the College Union. Professional timing services will be provided by Athletic Timing who track participants with chipped custom bibs.

Finish: The finish line will be at the main entrance to campus, near the College Union. Participants will then walk to the academic quad for the Music Garden, where can enjoy the music, food trucks, activities, and Beer Garden (21 and older, cash and ID required). A closing awards ceremony will occur at 6:15pm on the Music Garden stage; awards will be given for overall finishers and by age group.

Registration: Registration fee will allow participants to run/walk the event, get a t-shirt, receive one free meal ticket to the food trucks, and gain entrance to the Music Garden at no extra cost! Students and children (up to 18) can participate for free, but they DO need to register - be sure to click on the registration for Students and Children to do so. Participants who register the day of the event may not receive a t-shirt, will pay a slightly higher entrance fee, and there will be no cash accepted at Check-in - so be sure to register ahead of time!

Details for Participants: This is a family-friendly environment and walkers and runners alike are welcome; the route is paved throughout. Although we love furry friends, dogs or other pets are not allowed (aside from registered service animals). We will have volunteers placed throughout the route ringing cowbells for encouragement, with traffic control support in place. Hootie (Oregon Tech's mascot) will be joining us, too!

Volunteer: We are seeking volunteers to assist with event set-up, check-in, t-shirt distribution, and route support. Volunteers will receive an event shirt, ticket to the food trucks, and entrance to the Music Garden! If you'd like to volunteer, click "Volunteer" at the bottom of the page below.

Join us at Willow-Witt Ranch for The Crest’s 7th Annual Turtle Trot—a true trail race with heart (and breakfast)! Choose the 5K or 10K on rolling single-track through meadows, wetlands, oak woodlands, and native conifer forest, or bring the whole family for a joyful Fun Run for all ages.

Starting at 4,500’ and climbing to nearly 5,000’, the courses feature elevation, varied terrain, and sweeping views of Mount Shasta, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Ashland. The 10K doubles the challenge with a second lap run in reverse, ensuring you experience the views from every angle.

After the finish, stay for what many say is the best part: a communal, made-from-scratch post-race breakfast shared around long tables, followed by a hands-on Western Pond Turtle learning session. Run hard, eat well, linger and learn. All proceeds support The CREST in our mission to connect people and nature.
