    Run Mahomet is celebrating thirty years of bringing activity and support to the Mahomet community! Run Mahomet is proud to continue to be a main fundraiser to support Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC)*, a vital non-profit organization providing education, programming, and community to our children. If you're looking for a great race, why not let your registration fees also support a great cause?

    Run Mahomet offers USATF Certified Courses for the 5k, 10k, and the ½ Marathon. Chip timing is provided by It’s Race Time, Inc. for in-person runners. The course is primarily flat and considered fast. Virtual options are available for all races. Virtual runners will not be included in official timed results, but times can be submitted for final rankings. Virtual runners may run anytime the week before the in-person race date.     **Half-marathon participants must be 12 years of age or older.

    ***Families with strollers may participate in the 5K. Please be aware of the varying speed of runners in the finish chute and allow racers to pass.

    In-Person Runners - Awards

    • 5K - Top 3 M/F Overall and Top 3 M/F in each the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

    • 10K - Top 3 M/F Overall and Top 3 M/F in each the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

    • Half Marathon - Top 3 M/F Overall and Top 3 M/F in each the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

    • Prize money may be available depending on pre-race donations. TBD

    • Guaranteed Technical T-shirts for all runners registered by July 20th.

    • If you are an overall winner of a race, you will not be included in the age-bracket awards.

    Virtual Runners - Submitting Your Result

    Beginning August 5th you will be able to submit your time. To submit your virtual time, click on the link below. (Note: link will not work, and you cannot submit a result prior to Aug 5) By your name, click EDIT TIME. You can submit results from Aug 3 - Aug 6. Final results will be available at the same link Aug 7. Note, virtual runners are not eligible for awards.

    Pickup and Bib/Shirt/Final Instructions:

    • Drive-through packet pick up time is from 7am - 7pm in the circle drive at Middletown Prairie, 1301 Bulldog Dr, Mahomet, IL 61853. All local runners are encouraged to pick up their packet on Friday.

    • If you are traveling a distance you may pick up your packet on-site race day, Saturday, August 3rd from 5:30 to 6:45 am at Mahomet-Seymour High School, 302 W State St, Mahomet, IL 61853.

    • Mailing is an option for an additional fee of $5.00 at the time of sign up for virtual runners

    *MAYC is a not-for-profit youth club that services members ages 6-18 and their families. For over 300+ youth each year, they work to improve attendance, grades, behavior, and school engagement. This youth club is vital to the youth of Mahomet and 100% of your additional donation goes to support MAYC and the kids. Any amount donated above your race fee is appreciated and will be put to great use. Thank you for your generosity!

    Join us Saturday, August 9th, starting in Downtown Mansfield for a 5K run & walk. Proceeds are to benefit the Mansfield Homecoming celebration happening the following weekend! All ages welcome. The race will begin at 8:00am, starting in front Three Toad Treasures, located on the corner of S. Jefferson & E. Oliver. This will be a chip-timed event with instant and online results.

    The registration fee includes a t-shirt. One per registrant. Youth and adult sizes are offered.

    Deadline to register for $25 & receive t-shirt is July 28th at 11:59pm CDT. We cannot guarantee extra T shirts for registrations after July 28th. Any extra shirts will be available after the race at the registration area. Registration fee will increase to $32 after July 28th at 11:59pm. Registration will be open until 7:30am on the morning of the race.

    Course: 10,000 Meters (6.2 miles) on brick and hard surfaces through and north of Arcola. Finish downtown Arcola. 5,000 meters (3.1 miles), all in town. Police escort; aid stations; split times. To ensure the safety of all runners and walkers:

    Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, leashed or unleashed animals will not be allowed on race course. Baby joggers or strollers are allowed for walkers only and must begin behind walkers.

    10 AM at Sand Creek Conservation District

    This trail race consists of fast rolling terrain located in the Sand Creek Trails of the Macon County Conservation District.

    Details:

    • Race day event: 4.4 and 7.6 mile race options available

    • Time: 10 AM race start with post-race celebration

    • $35/40 entry fee includes unique long sleeve technical shirt, FINISHER MEDAL, and post race fun and snacks.

    • Must register by Sept.1st to be guaranteed a shirt.

    • All in person race participants will be entered to win prize packages from local businesses.

    • Prizes for overall male and female, and age groups.

    • Race profits will benefit Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Special Operations Warrior Foundation was formed to aid the children of our nation’s fallen soldiers.

    Run route: Enjoy the beautiful fast rolling terrain through this local Conservation District located on the south end of town.

    Virtual Participants: We strongly encourage running your virtual miles at Sand Creek Conservation District. Packet pick up info remains the same.
