Come join us for the 4th annual Run the River Marathon and Relay, starting at Columbia Park in Kennewick, WA.

This road race features a scenic course that travels through the towns of Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco all while staying next to the mighty Columbia River. This classic road marathon follows paved paths and roadways the entire time and offers participants with great views of 3 beautifully landscaped parks, the meandering Columbia River, as well as the rugged surrounding mountains. The flat course and cool spring weather will provide runners with a prime opportunity for a fast finish time if that is their goal. Likewise, the course lends itself well to runners of all abilities as well as walkers... which tend to have the best time out there!

    WHAT IS THE CLOT TROT?

The Clot Trot was started by Aaron Smith, from the Tri-Cities area of Washington in 2008. The event began as his Eagle Scout service project and has grown into a grassroots community event building awareness for hemophilia. This event was created by a hemophilia family that has contributed to the advancement of hemophilia research for many years. The Smith family actively serves and participates in the hemophilia community; including volunteering as counselors at hemophilia summer camps and dedicating much of their time to the bleeding disorder community.

We appreciate your many years of support of the Clot-Trot and your generous donations that go toward hemophilia research and supporting the bleeding disorders community. The Clot-Trot is one of our highlights each year, as we show support for individuals and families with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders

Award Ceremony: Check the Negative Split website on your phone at www.nsplit.com/results, or the paper results posted on the side of the 3RRR trailer, to see if you placed in your age group or were one of the top 3 overall men or women and you can collect your award outside on the deck at Kiona Winery after the race. Awards are race glasses that will NOT be mailed. If you miss the pick up after the race you will need to contact Eric at sagag@charter.net to arrange a pickup time for your award. And yes, the deck on Kiona with a bottle of one of their great wines is a great way to unwind after the race.

Special Considerations: Please note the following:

    • Mountain bikes, ONLY for the overall and age group awards. Athletes must use mountain bike frames with 26-29 inch wheels, and tires with a minimum 1.5 inch width (no road tires allowed) and have some sort of knobby, raised pattern that covers more than 50% of the tire surface. So that means the slick portion of the tire is less than 50% of the tire surface.

    • We will also have a special GRAVEL BIKE division, with the top 3 overall men and women each receiving an age group type award. Gravel bikes will NOT be included in the overall or age group awards.

Questions: Please contact Eric Greager at sageg@charter.net with any race questions.

Volunteers: We need lots of volunteers for all our multi-sport events. If you can help at this event, please contact Eric Greager at sageg@charter.net .
