    Vermont Youth Cycling is excited to welcome you to our second race of the 2026 season! Burke Mountain will host a full weekend of racing with this XC event on Saturday, following by an Enduro-format race on Sunday.

    All riders must complete the Burke Waiver. CLICK HERE TO SIGN WAIVER.

    IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF VTYC YOUR REGISTRATION TO ALL RACES IS FREE. PLEASE USE THE HONOR SYSTEM AND THE COUPON CODE YOU HAVE BEEN EMAILED FOR FREE REGISTRATION.

    Schedule: Please note that start times may be delayed slightly but will not begin ahead of the time below.

    8:30-9:45 Course open to pre-ride

    9:15-9:45 Chip Pick-up and Day-of Registration

    9:30 Mandatory Coaches Meeting at VTYC Tent (including parents of independent riders)

    10:00 Cat C Race Start

    10:15 Junior Race Start

    10:45-11:15 Chip Pick-up and Day-of Registration for Cat A/B

    *10:45 Pre-riding for Cat A and B allowed

    Podium

    Awards will be given to the top five riders in each category so make sure you stick around! We will do a Junior/Cat C podium before the Cat B and A race at approximately 11am. Cat A/B podium will start soon after the completion of the Cat A race.

    Course Pre-riding

    The course will be open to pre-ride Saturday morning from 8:30-9:45am before the first race takes off. Cat A and B riders may pre-ride at 10:45 and MUST yield to Cat C riders still out on course.

    Chip Timing

    We will have volunteers collecting chip in the finish chute. Riders MUST return their chip or they will be charged $50.

    Other

    Independent racers are welcome! If you want to participate but aren't linked up with a team yet, please register as an 'Independent' rider and come out for a fun time!

    If you have young riders below 5th Grade, bring them along as there will be lots of fun racing to watch.

    A rare chance to race on the Northeast Kingdom's “wild side” in this revival of the old CircumBurke race. Last year, CircumVictory attracted over 150 cyclists and runners including Olympic MTB medallist. Georgia Gould, and a Unbound Gravel double winner, Ted King. This year's course is packed with cool singletrack and remote logging trails for hardcore racers and recreational riders alike. Victory Hill Trail Club is non-profit trail maintenance organization that reinvests all entry fees into trail maintenance.

    SUPPORTERS: State of Vermont - Forest Parks and Recreation, Island Industries, Kate's Real Food, JetBoil, Typsy Pickle, Athletic Brewing, Vermont Smoke & Cure and the Victory Hill Trail Club.

    WHEN: Saturday, October 17th at 9:30 AM, 7:15 AM to 9 AM number pickup,, 9:30 AM Start

    WHERE: Victory Hill Trail Club, Entrances at 2872 and 3000 Victory Hill Rd, Victory, Vermont.

    COURSE: 18 mile trail circuit including some local roads and logging trails mixed.

    FOOD: Refreshments served at 1 aid station. Tacos Del Reino will sell meals afterwards. NOT INCLUDED IN ENTRY FEE.

    MERCHANDISE SALES: Victory Hill shirt, hats, hoodies and beer glasses offered to support trail maintenance.

    COOL PRIZES: Top 3 XCM racers (M/F). Beer glasses for all finishers. Strava segment will select fastest descenders (M/F).

    CAMPING:: Free camping on the night before and after the event !

    RESULTS: Hand-timed chip-free results by volunteers. Unofficial times posted later.

    SPECTATE: Riders pass several times near the start/finish making good opportunities to watch and support your riders.

    REGISTER: Here on Bikereg until Thursday, October 15th at 8 PM. NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION on Friday and Saturday morning.

    VOLUNTEER: Help needed to marshal for course safety, regististration, parking etc. T-Shirts/Lunch provided.

    EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: Full suspension XC and trail bikes. Hardtails and gravel/cx bikes would be inadviseable.

    NO E-BIKES: E-bikes not allowed on Victory Hill, except for athletes with a disability who are welcome to come race on an EBike.

    DOGS ALLOWED AT THE EVENT: Leashed dogs are welcome but please do not bring dogs on the trails or racecourse

    A mountain-built trek up Burke Mountain’s rugged Northeast Kingdom ridges. The route climbs forested single-track and old logging roads, then breaks onto rocky ridgelines and spruce-soaked slopes for sweeping valley and mountain-range views. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.

    Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, and complete in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck and unlock bonus finisher swag + serious bragging rights. The course will be extremely well marked with a fun post-trek party for everyone to enjoy!

    Trek Day Information

    UltraTrax Burke Mountain kicks off at 7am on October 25, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-trek party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 10/1/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.
