The Ocean Running Club Seaside Half Marathon & 5K is a 5k, half marathon, and running event held on Sunday, October 4, 2026. It is located at Southeast Central Avenue in Seaside Park, New Jersey.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY . OCEAN GATE 5K & 1MILE RUN
Join us for the Family Fun Ocean Gate 5K run and 1 mile walk/run.
Families that run together win together. Create a family team when you register and have all your family members participating join your team. The family with the most team members will receive a special award and most importantly BRAGGING RIGHTS!
The run is a chip timed race on a flat and fast certified 5K course through beautiful Ocean Gate, NJ. A finish line video will be published online so you can see yourself finish. Race results will be available within seconds of finishing with time and pace for each participant.
Awards for top 5K Overall Female and Male and top two Female and Male in 10 year age groups.

Kids race is back for 2026! Finisher awards will be handed out at the finish of the event!

Packet Pick-up on race morning will start at 6:45am and end promptly at 7:45am at Adrian Hall.
Race morning registration will be available online only via your mobile device.
Race day registration for the 5K will be $45 so sign up early!
Join us September 19th in Seaside Heights, NJ for the 12th Anniversary of the Marine Raider Foundation’s Semper Five 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk as runners take to the boards on the scenic, certified course along the ocean. This year we honor the Gold Star Families and those who have lost their lives in
service to our country.
The Semper Five benefits Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives, or been seriously injured, in service to our country, and their families. The Semper Five will be both live and virtual. In Person registrants will receive one of the classic Semper Five, long sleeve tech shirts.

General Race Information:
Race options include Half Marathon, 5K, and Seaside Challenge (Run the 5K and the Half Marathon races back-to-back!)
The Half Marathon will have pacers. No personal or pirate pacers are allowed.
If you are paid member of Ocean Running Club prior to registering, you will receive $5.00 off of your selected race.

Bib pick up on race morning only starting at 6:30am at the Sawmill Café (Boardwalk entrance).
Parking meters ARE in effect on race day.

5K Race Information:
Start time: 7:30am
Time limit: 45 minutes
IMPORTANT: 300 runner maximum capacity for this event. Registration closes when the maximum capacity is reached.
Medal for all finishers!
Awards for top 3 overall male and female finishers and top 3 male/female finishers under 14, 15-19, and 10 year age groups up to 70 and over.
Half Marathon Race Information:
Start time: 8:30am
Time limit: 3 hours - First loop of the course must be completed in 1.5 hours (by 10am) or runner will be pulled at the end of the first loop
IMPORTANT: 600 runner maximum capacity for this event. Registration closes when the maximum capacity is reached.
Medal for all finishers!
Awards for top 3 overall male and female finishers and top 3 male/female finishers under 14, 15-19, and 10 year age groups up to 70 and over.
Seaside Challenge Information:
Runners are welcome to take the Seaside Challenge and run the 5K and the Half Marathon races back-to-back!
Time limits for each race distance applies
IMPORTANT: You must register for the Seaside Challenge event at the time of registration. You cannot combine individual 5K and half marathon entries to count for the Seaside Challenge. If you register for the 5K and the half marathon separately, you will NOT be in the Seaside Challenge
IMPORTANT: 150 runner maximum capacity for this event. Registration closes when the maximum capacity is reached.
THREE Medals for all Seaside Challenge finishers – 5K, Half Marathon, and a special Seaside Challenge finisher medal!
Awards not given for the Seaside Challenge. Those who participate in the challenge are eligible for awards given in each individual race.
