Step back in time and hit the streets to the soundtrack of three iconic eras at Run Through the Decades—a race that celebrates the unforgettable music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s! Whether you love the soulful rhythms of the 60s, the funky grooves of the 70s, or the neon-charged energy of the 80s, this event brings each decade to life—one mile at a time.

Join us at Bill Briar Park in Las Vegas!

To honor these legendary musical eras, runners can choose from three themed race distances:

  • 6K for the groovy 60s

  • 7K for the funky 70s

  • 8K for the epic 80s

Can’t decide? Complete all three distances to conquer the Run Through the Decades Half Marathon—the ultimate time-traveling challenge.

All athletes will receive a custom finisher medal, and we’ll present awards for all four races in the usual 5-year age groups starting at 10 & under, giving runners of all ages a chance to shine.

So dust off your tie-dye, break out your disco glam, or rock your brightest neon—get ready to run, groove, and celebrate the music that defined generations!

Commencing just before sunset, run through Red Rock Canyon while enjoying the stunning sunset as day falls into night. Sun is replaced by stars and moonlight guides the way. The omnipresence of the surrounding canyon under the moonlit starry night is magical! Joshua trees dance in the shadows and the neon lights of Las Vegas can be seen in the distance. An enchanted late summer evening run.

Majestically framing the west side of the valley, Red Rock Canyon is the most notable natural treasure in the Las Vegas area. Federally designated as a Backcountry Scenic Byway, the 13 mile paved scenic drive traverses some of the Mojave Desert's most stunning vistas. Sandstone formations, desert vegetation, and wildlife bring this place to life. The birthplace of Calico Racing! The trailheads "Calico Hills" inspired the namesake and dictated the company logo colors.
