Run the Vineyards - Laurita 5K

To race on a course on the Monmouth Battlefield is to run through the site of the Battle of Monmouth fought on June 28, 1778, a pivotal engagement in the Revolutionary War. This is a National Historic Landmark, the highest level of recognition bestowed on our nation's historic sites. This is not just a race, it's become a runner's right of passage. So join us for our inaugural event to make your run as revolutionary as this place is to all of us.

Chip timed, with a live video stream and online tracking, finish line pictures and video, well marked course with support stations at every mile. The four loop 3.27 mile course for half marathoners, 2 loop 3.1 mile course for 10K runners, and one loop 3.1 mile course for the 5K runners is fan friendly, tree lined, beautiful, fun, and challenging. We are honored to host the annual Patrolman Samuel C. Irvin Legacy 5K Walk/Run at Mansfield Twp. Park. The event will take place on the paved Kinkora Trail that winds through woods and farm fields. This event is in memory of our 23-year-old son, Sam, who tragically passed away from sudden cardiac arrest on July 23, 2023, while working out. Following his passing, we learned that Sam had a genetic mutation known as Brugada Syndrome. Sam was a three-sport athlete in high school and played college baseball. He had recently graduated from college and the Gloucester Police Academy and was serving as a patrolman for the Mansfield Police Department at the time of his death. He is survived by his son Beau Samuel. This event, with your participation and support, will not only honor Sam's legacy but also make a meaningful impact by supporting student athletic scholarships established in Sam's name at Northern Burlington County Regional High School. Join us for The 5K at Hamilton.

This event promises to be one of the most inspiring and meaningful events held in NJ.

Held in beautiful Veterans Park on a course famous for fast times and fun gatherings, the 5k Race and 1 Mile fun walk benefits the 501C3 public charity AFAR (A Future-After-Rehab). AFAR has been in operation since 2016 and operates 5 sober living homes in the Hamilton, Bordentown and Burlington area.

This year, the event has been added to the USATF's Grand Prix Series with awards in 5 Year age groups through 90 and over!

The timed off road 5K course winds through a wooded trail and registrants have the option of either running or walking (map of 5K course). All race participants have the option to run/walk with their dog or cat in stroller. Dogs must be leashed. At the start of the race, all individual runners will go first followed by runners with dogs, then walkers with/without dog or cat in stroller.

Proceeds from this event will help fund advanced medical care for shelter animals, trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR), behavioral training, foster care, and our surrender diversion program. Everyone is encouraged to invite all animal lovers & race enthusiasts to participate!

All registrants will receive a standard cotton event shirt. Registrants who raise $100 (registration fee not included in this amount) will receive a performance-style, dri-fit event t-shirt.
