We invite you to join us in Midway this fall for the 17th annual Iron Horse Half Marathon, 10th annual Iron Horse 12k, and 2nd 5k!

We want to make your race day special by providing the following race amenities:

    "A Warrant to Run" is hosted by the United States Army Warrant Officer (USAWOA) Longrifle Chapter. Warrant Officers are the few technical experts in their field, making up less than three percent of the Army. Our organization is comprised of both active and retired members with the purpose to recognize Warrant Officer excellence, provide mentorship and scholarship opportunities, and to represent the professionalism/time honored history of the Warrant Officer Cohort.

    The run route is an intermediate cross country format with gentle to moderate rolling hills. The race only intersects near the finish line and is a loop. Awards will be presented for the top 3 finishers.

    This event is located at Rocky's Pub in Frankfort, KY utilizing the old Ducker's Golf Course.

    PACKET PICKUP: Packet pickup will be held on Sunday, 4/19/26 (race day) from 12:30-2pm at the pavilion at Walter Bradley Park. There is no advanced day packet pickup this year.

    FASTEST KID AT NORTHSIDE ELEMENTARY RACES These are races that will only be for Northside Elementary students (K-5th Grade). Those students who register for the 5K run/walk or 1 Mile fun run get to participate in the Fastest Kid races for FREE. The Fastest Kid races will take place at 2pm in the bus loop at Northside Elementary school. Each grade will have a race (Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th). The boy/girl winner in each grade will then have a run off with the other boy/girl winners from the other grades to determine the overall Fastest Kid at Northside. All participants of the Fastest Kid races will earn a participation medal.

    The Distillery Dash is the first in a three part XC series collaborating with local distilleries, breweries and wineries! Sign up early for the lowest prices, and Run for Bourbon!

    The Distillery Dash will feature a 5k and 10k cross-country race options at beautiful Masterson Station Park. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, finisher's award, and a bourbon tasting drink ticket.

    Participants under 21 will receive all portions of the finisher award except for the tasting tickets.

    The afterparty will run until 10:00 p.m., so hang around for music, bourbon tastings, drink sales, food trucks, and a great time! Register for all three races in the series for a special finisher's award at the end of the series!

    The 5k will be open to walkers, but we will enforce a cutoff pace of 16 minutes/mile for the 10k due to concerns with sunset.

    The Shepherd’s House is hosting the 27th Annual Run for Recovery 5K and Fun Walk. We are EXCITED to be BACK AT KEENELAND again in 2026 offering a live event. Again this year a VIRTUAL Run/Walk option will be available for those who prefer to participate remotely and still support the Shepherd's House. The Shepherd’s House operates several Recovery Treatment Programs throughout Central Kentucky ranging from In-Patient, Intensive Out-Patient, Recovery Housing, Community Impact, Recovery Community Center, and Jail Substance Abuse Programs. All of our programs are highly structured programs that promote personal responsibility, accountability, and life skills to successfully live in recovery.

    This fundraising event is a celebration of recovery and attracts both serious and recreational runners, walkers, and dogs. This event has something for everyone. Family friendly, pet friendly, and supports a great mission! We can't wait to see you at Keeneland in July 2026! Join us in Celebrating Recovery in the Bluegrass!
