Celebrate the women and girls in your life in this family-friendly event to commemorate the achievements of Title IX, the landmark equality legislation signed by President Nixon fifty-three years ago.

Bring your family, friends, sports teams and community groups to the NIXON 5K FOR TITLE IX and run (or walk) this moderate course following Yorba Linda’s El Cajon Trail. Athletes are encouraged to wear their favorite team gear supporting female sports! This is accessible for runners of all levels; strollers are welcome and dogs are allowed. Following the race, guests are invited to stop by the vendor fair in the Library parking lot!

Lace up your running shoes and experience a scenic dirt trail course that winds through the natural beauty of the Brea Dam area and alongside the Fullerton Tennis Center & Golf Course. This trail run is not stroller friendly and encouraged for children ages 10 and up.

    Music, food and running! Celebrate a night under the lights with us by running 12 and a half laps! This event is open to all ability levels. We will have 8 heats of the 5K (3.1 miles), seeded based on your expected 5k time, with maximum cut off time at 35 minutes.

    All participants will receive a post race meal ticket for our food truck partner, Birreria y Tacos Doña Betty. Finishers will also receive a commemorative race medal, and winners of each heat will get a special surprise.

    Adidas will have spikes and super shoes for you to demo during the race so you can hit your fastest time!

    Heats will be chosen based on expected finish times, and will be announced closer to race day. Please estimate as close to your current fitness as possible. If you win your heat by 2 minutes or more, you will be ineligible for any prizes. BE HONEST WITH YOUR PROJECTED TIME!

    Space is limited and will sell out.

    Race Registration: All registration will be handled online for the race. Please note the last day to register will be Friday, July 3rd by 12:00 p.m. No registrations will be accepted on the day of the race or in person at the Woodbridge Community Center.

    Calling all runners! Compete with your neighbors and friends in the annual 4th of July race. The races will start by the North Lake Gazebo on Barranca Parkway.

    Check-in time for the 5K and 10K Runs is 6:30 a.m. The 5K and 10K Runs will begin at 7:15 a.m. The Kids Run will begin at approximately 8:15 a.m.

    The entry fee for early registration 5K/10K participants is $45 per person, including an official race T-shirt, or $40 without a T-shirt, up until Sunday, June 14th.

    The entry fee for all 5K/10K participants registering on Monday, June 15th through Friday, July 3rd at 12:00 p.m. is $60 per person, which includes an official race T-shirt, or $55 without a T-shirt.

    The entry fee for the Kids Run is $20 per child, which includes a T-shirt, or $15 per child without the T-shirt, up until Friday, July 3rd at 12:00 p.m.

    Please note: All registration is online only. There will be no in-person “cash” sign-up registrations prior to or on the day of the races.

    Early registration participants (registration completed by Sunday, June 14th) may pick up their run bib numbers and T-shirts on the special pick-up day of Friday, July 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Woodbridge Community Center (31 Creek Road) to avoid long lines on the day of the race. If you registered after Sunday, June 14th, please pick up your run bib numbers and run T-shirts at the event on Barranca Parkway on Saturday, July 4th.

    Awards will be presented to first-place finishers only in each age division for both men and women, and to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall finishers in the Kids 1-mile run for boys and girls.

    Official 50th Anniversary Run T-shirts are available for purchase standalone at the Association Office (31 Creek Road) for $10.
