Join experienced race veterans and triathlon newcomers alike for a true Cape Cod tradition: the Hyannis Triathlon. Along with its sister race in September, this is the longest-running triathlon in the East!

The location is the very scenic Craigville Beach — about 20 minutes from the bridge over the Cape Cod canal. The swim, bike and run courses are suitable for experienced athletes as well as by fitness enthusiasts who have trained for the distances. The race features special features for elites, age groupers, first-timers, even for family and friends who wish to race together! And we are proud to host New England’s largest triathlon relay team competition!

Make your plans now to dial in your training for the June race…and then test yourself once again at our Hyannis 2 race in early September!

This is the longest-running triathlon on the East Coast — and after all these years, the accolades still continue:

Named as one of the 20 Best Triathlons in the Nation by Men’s Health magazine (2016)

Named one of The Most Amazing Triathlons to Do in the USA Today by The Culture Trip (2017)

TRI IT YOUR WAY (VIRTUAL CATEGORY)

Can't make it in person? No Problem!

Here's how Tri It Your Way works:

    1. Pick your triathlon activities! Remember, you can either swim the 400 yards or choose another activity to do for 10 minutes. The bike needs to be at least 10 miles and the run needs to be at least a 5K (yes, you may go over, but not under!).

    2. SAFETY FIRST! Make sure you are taking all the safety precautions when swimming, biking, and running. This means not swimming alone and following all the rules of the road (or trail). Just like all the precautions you take when training or racing an event, we want you to be safe.

    3. Record each activity with your watch, or phone, or bike computer.

    4. Document your tri! Whether it’s someone taking pictures of you “racing” or stopping for a selfie mid-run. We want to see you in action! Dogs, kids, partners, friends (socially distanced, of course) are encouraged to join in with you!

    5. Go to our event page and post your “race” data and your pictures. OR email your pics and race data to [email protected].

The mission of the Dolphin Dash is to reduce or eliminate athletic, marching band and color guard user fees for Dennis-Yarmouth High School Students.

A committee of dedicated volunteers is working diligently to organize the DOLPHIN DASH 5K ROAD RACE to raise money for the purpose of eliminating high school student user fees.

We would also like to use this unique opportunity to showcase and celebrate the Dennis-Yarmouth school community and the great things happening in all of our schools.

We want this to become an annual D-Y DAY & Showcase Celebration.
