Welcome Runners!The Ultra Marathon Caballo Blanco registrations is conducted and coordinated by True Messages (a 501c3 nonprofit continuing the projects and messages of a simple messenger with a powerful message: Micah True el Caballo Blanco) along with the Municipality of Urique, Chihuahua with support from ‘Mas Locos’ throughout the world. The UMCB has an incredible and storied history and is considered one of Ultra Marathon Running’s must-do bucket list events. Started by Micah True who had a goal to bring runners from all over the world and introduce them to the Ramamuri peoples, their beautiful lands and their cultural traditions and wisdoms. The Ultra events bring together endurance athletes from all over the planet to run together with 600-800 Raramuri athletes. Now also added last year is the ultimate endurance challenge a 100 Mile journey through the majestic Sierra Tarahumara! The 50 Mile Ultra remains one of the most iconic run in the Americas and the distance that most all of the Raramuri athletes will take on. The Marathon and Half are still a very very challenging run but you are rewarded by the beauty and magic of these lands and surely one of the most scenic runs on the planet.All event registrations include the races and attendance to the full weekend of cultural stage events, activities and gatherings in Urique. Recognizing that the logistics of getting to the event and securing accommodations can sometimes present a challenge, again this year we have arranged with local businesses to offer ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ type packages as well as help and support for getting to and from the Sierra Tarahumara and hotel/hostel/housing once you are there for race week(end). *SEE WEBSITE FOR DETAILS! These experiences introduce all that is special about the Barrancas, our Raramuri friends and the local communities of Urique and Cerocahui (hikes and runs with our Raramuri friends, sweat lodge / temezcal, Raramuri teachings, eco tours, etc) For details on the agenda and pricing click the “Website” link on this page above. Also we would like to mention, while a separate event from the Ultra and Marathon events, a highlight of the weekend is the UMCB kids race on Friday which features 800 young athletes in short races around the town of Urique. We ask that all of our runners join in and support the kids events and help continue this wonderful running tradition with the next generation! Stay tuned on Social Media as many more updates for this coming March 2027 event will be forthcoming. As always it will be extra special and we have an incredible week planned! We all look forward to what is going to be an amazing event! We expect the races to sellout this year. While the course can accommodate many runners, even with all we are doing to increase housing options, there are limitations – so please book early (with us or locally)!*This is a ‘Korima’ focused event started by Micah to support the local and Raramuri communities. Your race registration helps with this greatly and we appreciate it. No refunds are provided however we can defer your entry to next year if requested before January 30th. In the event the race is cancelled by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, health or safety issues your registration will carry over and will be applied to the rescheduled event.*PLEASE NOTE Registration button includes links also for National Citizens of Mexico and the local community. Iniciado por Micah True (El Caballo Blanco) que quería traer corredores de todo el mundo y presentarles a la gente Ramamuri (Tarahumara), sus hermosas tierras y su gran cultura. El evento Ultra reúne a atletas de resistencia de todo el planeta para correr junto a más de 600 atletas Raramuri. A partir de 2017, ahora también hay una distancia de maratón (42 km) y, a partir de 2020, una media maratón (21 km) para aquellos que quieran experimentar toda la belleza de este evento cultural y de carrera pero que aún no estén listos para la distancia de 80K. El Maratón Caballo Blanco sigue siendo un evento muy desafiante con subidas y lo que suele ser un día muy cálido. Con los nuevos cambios implementados en 2019, hemos mejorado aún más la que seguramente sea una de las Maratones más pintorescas del planeta.Todas las inscripciones al evento incluyen las carreras y la asistencia al fin de semana completo de etapa cultural eventos, actividades y tertulias en Urique. Reconociendo que la logística para llegar al evento y asegurar el alojamiento a veces puede presentar un desafío, nuevamente este año hemos hecho arreglos con empresas locales para ofrecer paquetes tipo 'TODO INCLUIDO', así como ayuda y apoyo para ir y venir de la Sierra Tarahumara y hotel/hostal/alojamiento una vez que esté allí para la semana de la carrera (fin). *VER SITIO WEB PARA DETALLES! The Copper Canyons Endurance Runs encompass so much more than just a race. These 'running pilgrimages' are created as a cultural exchange that introduces you to the beauty of the lands, the people, and the culture of the Sierra Tarahumara. The events also allow the local athletes of the Sierra Tarahumara an opportunity to interact and share experiences with international runners. We do offer race event only options for those that want to handle their own logistics and travel, but recommend joining the group so that the your focus can be on living in the moment and participating in a week that will be with you forever. Our friend Micah True (Caballo Blanco) said “We are the Messengers”. Micah may no longer be with us, but his simple message of love, and peace and people from all over the world coming to run and experience the beauty of the peoples and the lands of the Sierra Tarahumara will last forever. The seed that Micah planted with the (now named in his honor) Ultra Marathon Caballo Blanco continues to be one of running’s most magical events. It is our goal to do all we can to carry on Micah’s message and introduce more of the lands and bring more athletes together and create more opportunity for these loving communities of the Barrancas del Cobre. Copper Canyons Ultra/Marathon/Half Marathon

The Copper Canyons Endurance Runs are a bucket list cultural and athletic journey in the Barrancas del Cobre (known locally as the Sierra Tarahumara or La Sierra), the deepest and largest canyon system in North America. You’ll meet and compete alongside the indigenous peoples of these lands, the Raramuri endurance runners who many came to know via the best-selling book ‘Born to Run’ by Christopher McDougall. Your running experience will take you on ancient trails and pathways that reveal some of the most beautiful and challenging landscapes on the planet. You will run up a steep mountains, down technical descents, over a fertile valley and experience a run that will become etched in your mind for life.In addition to your race, the trip will expose you to the culture and beauty of the Barrancas through music, dance, food, crafts, cultural education, ancient temezcal ceremonies, and even a full day at one of the planet's most ‘adventurous’ adventure parks and then finishing with the magnificent Festival de Cerocahui!.

Camp Corre Libre (Camp Run Free)

The multi-day ‘Camp Corre Libre’ is an educational, cultural, and athletic journey with and through the Copper Canyons (la Sierra Tarahumara), the largest and deepest canyon system in North America. You’ll meet and share trails and conversations with the indigenous peoples of these lands, the famed Raramuri endurance runners who many came to know via the best selling book ‘Born to Run’ by Christopher McDougall. Over six full days you’ll experience the magic of the Barrancas and memories that will become etched in your mind for life. Your days include: 'Running Free" ideas, techniques, shared learnings and educational sessions led by Endurance Running Legends. You will also be running on ancient Raramuri trails (different pace groups to accommodate all athletes). Your evenings will be filled with immersion into the culture and beauty of the Barrancas through music, dance, food, temezcal, plus an adventure park, craft education, and story telling, all culminating with a run like no other and the magnificent Festival de Cerocahui! **race of your choice is included in Camp Corre Libre pricing, you will choose once in the Sierra
